An excellent fortnight

This bungallo villa was perfect. Very well laid out, nicely decorated, and ideal for what we were after.
The pool is literally just across from the front gate, and is very well maintained. If you prefer the beach, then ther's La Marina beach 5 minutes drive away, or Guardamar beach, 10 minutes or so, both with shade & 2 beds for 10 Euros for the whole day if required.
The villa itself was full of every mod-con you need, with lots of useful information on places to visit on the Costa Blanca, with most places within just an hour or so's drive away.
The urbanisation itself is bigger and much better than we initially realised At first we thought it seemed a liitle isolated with not a lot going on. After a few wrong turns in the car, it soon became clear that La Marina Urbanisation was huge, with pockets of shops, pubs & restaurants all over the place. A recce on arrival is recommended so as to reap the best out of your stay.
All the pubs we went in were friendly and each has something going on each night (quizzes & karaoke). They tend to take it in turns for each evening of the week, so if you're a pub person every night, prior knowledge of whats on, when & where helps.
The restaurants on the whole were pretty good. The Patagonian Steakhouse was excellent & very reasonable. We don't recommend the chinese at all. If you want a really good chinese buffet, that is also very cheap, go to the big Wok Buffet in Guardamar, just off the 332, that was amazing food!
Shopping was excellent, as there is a Mercadona 5 minutes drive, which also has a Lidl & a British Iceland near by too.
The resident Brits whom we spoke to were all very friendly and helpful, explaining to us when & where various markets were being held, and what festivals were on (unfortunately we just missed these).
A trip to Torravieja is always recommended, especially on a Friday or Saturday evening, for the market, the thriving restaurants or the walk along the marina. I unfortunately lost my presciption glasses, but have no fear, there is a British staffed Specsavers in Torrevieja that were able to come to my rescue (point to note, don't walk into the sea with your glasses on, it can end up very expensive).
I would thoroughly recommend this property to anybody who likes to either relax or explore in the daytime, and on an evening have fun in the pubs, or have a relaxing game of cards with a glass of wine in the evening.
This was the perfect gettaway thankyou very much.
