We rent our flat in Venice for short weekly stays all year round (minimum stay: one Sat-to-Sat week). The flat is perfect for two and suitable for a family with a child. “Nati’s House” (Nati is our daughter!) offers the comfort and the charm that could emphasize the value of your stay in this spectacular city of the world. Very well lighted, it faces with a balcony a marvellous typical Venetian canal, in a part of Venice, which still belongs to Venetians. We think this is a great value for the wise tourist. The flat is completely furnished, some pieces of furniture are antique and it is located at the first floor: safe when the sea floods the streets and far from humidity of the ground floors. “Nati’s House” is waiting you just four minutes by the Alilaguna water bus stop (shuttle service from/to the airport). We are Paolo, Giulia and Natalia, Nati for friends (16 years old).

We are a happy family who lives in Bologna. We decided to have this flat in Venice because we love this city. We had been living there for six years when we were students at the University School of Architecture. Now we are both architects professing in Bologna, but our hearts are still in Venice. The city is not so far from Bologna so, during the periods we do not rent the flat, it is possible for us to enjoy short stays in the most spectacular city of the world.

Without otherwise agreed, keys are delivered directly to your contractual address by post. So at your arrival, you will already have the keys and detailed directions.

Details for Nati`s House 1 Bedroom, Sleeps 2, 1 Bathroom

The apartment is composed of a small entrance hall and two rooms, one bathroom with shower and a balcony facing the canal (a small great value!). One room offers the kitchenette, fully equipped with four cooking stoves, oven, fridge, table, etc. and a single or double bed sofa. The other room offers another double bed sofa, really comfortable and easy-to-open. Even if there are more than two beds, we limited the number in party we can accept to 2 people. Three large windows and a nice balcony open onto a picturesque canal. Located at the first floor. There is the telephone, fans for warm periods, plenty of books and Venice's guides, toys for children, tv, VHS, washing machine, devices for different voltage (110V to Italian standard), internet WIFI (on demand), normally you'll find all the common stuffs of a normal home. Our aim is to make you feel like at home.

Located in the Cannaregio District, where the popular culture of Venice is still alive and where restaurants and “osterias” are still for Venetians (and for the few lucky tourists who go off the beaten track for a minute or two) .4-8 minutes walk from the boat service, 11-13 from railway station and 10 from Rialto, maybe less with “gondola” shuttle. If you plan to arrive to the San Marco Airport, just take the Alilaguna shuttle boat Airport-Venice, stop at Guglie water bus stop in Venice and then you have to walk four minutes and just one bridge to cross!

    We are obliged to charge a tourist tax of a few Euro (about 7.50 Euro/week per person)
  • Our policy is to rent from Saturday to Saturday, the contract with the cleaner operates only on Saturday; we must apply only a not proportional discount to anyone who wants to stay less than a week inside a Sat-to-Sat period, with a considerably high minimum. Arrival day may be different during the Christmas periods and Carnival and in some rare cases during the year, but due to extra expenses, prices can be higher.

My wife and I loved our week in Nati's House in Venice and wished we could have stayed longer. The house is well located, yet far from the tourist track. It is comfortable and the host is very conscientious in providing everything that is needed, including Venice guidebooks in English, as well as detailed instructions covering every eventuality. The apartment was clean, well maintained and fit the description provided very accurately. I would definitely recomment it.

An amazing find in a true Venetian neighbourhood

We rented Nati's House for 7 weeks and it has been wonderful in many ways: the apartment itself is lovely, very clean, a good kitchen (we've cooked most meals), wonderful location beside a quiet canal ... pretty much everything we have needed to be very comfortable; weekly cleaning is a true gift; Paolo (our host) is extremely helpful - exceptional customer service!; the location is perfect - in a true Venetian neighbourhood where you can shop for anything you need and where you will find shop keepers very friendly and helpful (especially if you try a little Italian!); also perfect because you can easily get to the 'sights' via the Vaporetto or by just walking through the 'streets' and across the canals of this amazing city. When you need a break, you can stroll down to the promenade by the lagoon and watch the boats, catch a glimpse of the Dolomite mountains and enjoy the sunset. We've been to three restaurants within a 10 minute walk ... all great!

We have cheered for the Venetian team at a soccer game; experienced an acqua alta; spent time with a retired gondolier and his wife; got to row a gondola (not so easy!); toured the glassworks just across our canal (they supply the mosaics for the Vatican restorations!); and experienced Carnival which was incredible. Visited several of the out islands which has been a real benefit of our extended visit.

We would recommend this property without reservations.

Great stay

We really enjoyed our stay at Nati's house. We took a trip to venice for our 1 year wedding anniversary and it was perfect! it is a lovely wee apartment in a quiet spot in venice. It was great being able to remove ourselves from the throng of tourists at the end of the day and to relax in the sun filled lounge/ kitchen with the balcony doors open.
The apartment is small but has plenty of space and was just right for us. We were able to comfortably cook dinners in the kitchen - which was well equipped.
It is a short walk to a supermarket, and a number of lovely bars and restaurants.
The owner was very helpful and easily contacted for advice regarding the apartment. It was exactly what we expected, and the visitor book full of previous peoples comments and advice was really valuable.
The bed wasn't the most comfortable bed I've slept in but it did the job just fine and certainly didn't impact on our stay.

Felt like a local

We had a wonderful stay in Venice. The apartment was in a quiet street full of locals and it felt like we lived there. The deli's and local restaurants were wonderful and reasonably priced. The apartment was well stocked and Paolo left great local tips. We tried some of his recommended restaurants and were not disappointed. We did not want to leave. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching the locals coming and going. It was hard to believe that the hustle and bustle of St Mark's was just a short walk away.We stayed for a week but could have stayed longer.Thanks for a great holiday.

A Great Choice

Given all the options available, it was hard to decide which apartment to rent for my recent stay in Venice. I picked Nati's House because of the location, good reviews and Paolo, the owner, was very responsive to my emails. It was a very good choice.

The photos and drawings on the site give you a very good idea of what the apartment is like. And Paolo provides very detailed, clear instructions on how to reach it from the airport. I arrived, with no problems, to a clean & cozy apartment.

Nati's House is charming and nicely located on a quiet canal in a residential neighborhood. I found that I walked nearly everywhere. For example it is a 20 - 25 minute walk to the Rialto Bridge. You can easily and quickly walk to local produce & fruit markets, restaurants and a super market.

I enjoyed being able to make my own breakfast and some dinners daily. The kitchen has a cook-top, small refrigerator, and a toaster oven. Plus a washing machine. It was clean when I arrived and again while I was there.

Paolo is a pleasure to work with, very client-focused and responsive. There was a small problem that required his attention while I was there and he dropped everything to fix it. He fixed it so quickly, we were able to enjoy lunch and a walk around the neighborhood together.

I would highly recommend Nati's House and look forward to a future stay.
