What a great vacation! Our family stayed one wonderful week at this PGA West home, and look forward to our next trip to La Quinta. The home is “as advertised” with ample indoor entertainments such as the fully-equipped, modern kitchen adjacent to a spacious dining area, an upscale “home entertainment center” with a large flat screen TV, DVD and indoor/outdoor sound system, board games, cards, dice and other amusements, and an excellent selection of books for leisurely reading. All the comforts of home – and then some. The owners have furnished and decorated the home with impeccable taste, and the interior is spacious with high ceilings and lots of openness and light, having ample windows and sliding glass doors that allow views of the outside. Speaking of the outside, we spent much of our time at the patio dinning table, using the large gas fired BBQ grill, or on the pool deck in a lounge chair or splashing around in the soothing, cooling pool and languishing in the decadently relaxing hot tub spa. All this while enjoying picturesque views of the area including the nearby Santa Rosa Mountains. We never felt “crowded;” in fact, in our case we actually had some friends visit from LA and they were delighted to be in the separate “Casita” with its own TV, bath, walk-in closet, etc.
I should add that the owners, Sharon and Nick, were extremely helpful in getting us settled in the home and assuring that we were aware of all the amenities and how some of them (like the sound system and TV) were operated. There’s also printed guidelines and instructions at the house. Finally, Sharon and Nick shared with us their favorites as to places to go, things to do, good restaurants, etc. In our case, they also helped us schedule several days of outstanding golf – our passion. All was good.
