WATERFRONT CABIN WITH SPA ON TAHOE KEYS LAGOON

First time at this perfect two story home in Tahoe Keys. December 23-27, 2012. There were six of us and all of us have rented Tahoe cabins many times over the years. After the first day everyone agreed it was the best place any of us have rented before. For sure.

Sorry to say, but a lot of the Tahoe rentals are really outdated. This home had everything new. Stainless steel appliances in the kitchen & the kitchen was stocked with everything....cookware, dishes, platters...we cooked a lot and found nothing we needed. Comfy leather sofas in the great room, HD flat screen TV's, fireplace, huge bedrooms.

The location is beautiful. Big back yard that connects directly to the lagoon which was frozen over when we were there. Like a winter wonderland :)

Umm, hope the owner likes the igloo we built in the back of the property haha!!

We all agreed we want to see it in the summer so we'll be back. I think some of our group are going back this winter.....

Three generations of our family were lucky enough to enjoy a month long stay at this lovely home. The main floor living area and bedroom made it easy for the oldest and youngest amoung us and the deck right off the back of the house extended the size of the compact house. We found the home to be clean, nicely furnished, centrally located for easy access to local attractions/activities and peaceful. The neighborhood is a quiet one - perfect for safe bike riding and walks. The view at the back of the house is amazing, providing a wonderful backdrop for morning coffee and other outdoor time. We had our canoe with us and could easily push off from shore for fishing in the lagoon. If you have stayed in the Keys before, you know that many homes have pretty severe sun exposure, making it impossible to keep the shades open in the afternoon or enjoy the deck @ certain times of the day. At this house, we were delighted to find this was not the case. There are pine trees surrounding it and the house is placed such that the sun compliments the outdoors - not overpowers it. We were also glad to find such a nice place that was pet friendly for our furry family member. The homeowner made a personal visit to welcome us and to be sure that we had everything needed. He stayed in touch re. the maintanance of the hot tub and was quick to respond to questions & inquiries all along the way. Overall, a great experience. We feel very fortunate to have found this lovely oasis.

Only "WOW" could describe how we felt about this place. We live in San Jose, Califorina which is about 5 hours drive from Tahoe. We have stayed in a few places at Tahoe areas before. This is the best we have ever stayed.

The house is conveniently located with easy access to shopping, skiing, gambling, etc. It is also perfectly situated at a quiet neighborhood. The backyard view is so astonishing that I emailed pictures to my friends and got replies in an hour with “Where is this place? I want to book it. ”.

On the day we were leaving the house, I called Carl to try to book my next trip!!

A good review has to have some suggestions.:-)
- I will suggest a little table on the backyard so we can put our coffee mugs. We were sitting in the backyard watching sunset for a while and really needed a place to put the mug.
- A kettle will be nice addition for boiling waters for hot tea.
