This garden apartment is in a beautiful tranquil setting, overlooking the main fountain and waterways of the established El Presidente complex. The inspiration for the grounds came from the design of the magnificent Alhambra Palace in Granada. We chose this apartment as our second home because of it's location in the original, quiet, established part of El Presidente, overlooking the mature sub tropical gardens. The accommodation is fitted to a high standard, where we benefit from large marble floored open plan living areas with Air Conditioning/heating, WI-Fi, Cable TV, DVD, fully fitted kitchen, spacious lounge and dining area (comfortable seating for 6).

Being at the heart of the complex, you are 2 minutes walk to all 5 pools, one heated year round, and one with a jacuzzi. Just a 3 minute walk to the 4 free tennis courts, and a 5 minute stroll to the beach and chiringuito. There are many interesting family activities nearby as well as 30+ golf courses easily accessible.

TENNIS AND PADEL COURTS : El Presidente has 4 newly refurbished tennis courts and three Padel courts. The courts are for your use FREE of charge.

We have several raquets and balls kept in the apartment that you are welcome to borrow.

OTHER ACTIVITIES: The surrounding area hosts numerous other sporting activities, including ski-ing in the Sierra Nevada mountains near Granada which is about two and a half hour away and easy as a day out if you want to just give it a try.

Fishing trips leave from Puerto Banus and Estepona, as well as Dolphin safaris from Gibraltar which are popular . Selwo Safari park (a truly great day out for ALL the family and only a ten minute drive away) and sea-life centres, Fuengirola zoo, water and wildlife parks, and of course, the many varied beaches and their chiringuitos (beach bars) along the coast to await to be discovered.

LA CANADA shopping centre (approx 10 mins drive away) boasts numerous well known shops, bars and eateries as well as cinemas with films in english!

For those of you who prefer something a little more sedate and relaxing, the Benavista Bowling Club is only a ten minute walk away. With its friendly and welcoming atmosphere, the club is very popular with visiting bowlers.

GOLF: Of course, the Costa Del Sol is renowned for being home to numerous fantastic golf courses, including San Roque and Valderama (host to the Ryder cup). El Presidente is centrally located to approximately 30+ courses, the nearest two (El Paraiso and Guadalmina) being within 1.5 miles of the complex. For more details email us for website details.

About Sean and Deborah Rowlands

We purchased this property as our second home and for somewhere that we could enjoy as a family with our young daughter. We enjoy eating out, socialising, travelling, walking and sitting in the sun! All of which El Presidente is great for.

We loved the grounds, the fabulous pools ( especially one being heated in winter), the sports facilites, proximity to restaurants, shops and bars, and most of all the quietness from the road and safety aspect for children.

We love the whole area and still find new areas to explore each time we visit.

What makes this apartment unique

The ground floor position makes this ideal for families - young and old. We have a secluded terrace that is great for outdoor dining in the evenings and generally relaxing. We are in a quiet location on the complex and only a minutes stroll to the main and heated pools.

Lovely apartment!

We (two adults and two older children, one in wheelchair) stayed for a week in May. the apartment was excellent with all promised equipment in tip-top shape. The in-door decoration was also very pleasant.

The description was accurate. I had quite a lot of contact with the owners over e-mail and phone and they were very friendly and helpful. The apartment was very clean and properly maintained. An extra plus for the beds that were not of the regular Spanish stone hard type, but more soft and nice (as well as the pillows).

The owner also changed arrival and departure times for us when our flights changed. Even a mistake by my side (forgetting the keys) was handled in a very smooth way by him.

The beach close to El Presidente is long and in May there are no crowds. Really nice to walk along.

Going in the other direction you soon find the motorway between Estepona and San Pedro and it is a bit noisy. Not so nice area I would say. On the other the city of Estepona is in my opinion really nice. It is more of a real small city than the other urbanizacions.

The beach bar close to Marriots (not the one run by Marriots) was also quite good. We enjoyed several lunches there.

A few minor slightly negative notes though:

The heated pool was only heated until the 6th of May, then the temperature dropped from 27 to 22-23 degrees.

For anyone in a wheelchair it should be stated that there are two steps to enter the apartment as well as a few steps on the paths to the pools. It was not a problem for us as our daughter can walk short distances, but it could be terrible for someone who could not climb out of the wheel chair.

There is also no suitable path along the beach for someone with wheel chair.

I missed a "real" city centre with a beach walk (like Estepona) within walking distance.

Besides these minor issues I would recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to go to Costa del Sol.

Good quality apartment in a very nice development. Mature gardens, great pools and grounds, well maintained. Large well equiped/furnished and maintained apartment. So much more comfortable with a family than a faceless hotel. Very safe location for family. Super location just off A7, quite, minimal walk to beach and a huge variety of restaurants within walking distance.

Many thanks for a lovely holiday in your super apartment this is the third time we have stayed with you and we will return! Everything is spotless and very well cared for. Unlike most rental apartments, yours is the best equipped we have ever found. The kids loved having access to the toys to take to the pool and it saved us from taking them away!

Lovely Holiday

We had a fantastic week staying at El Presidente.

The complex is well-maintained with beautiful gardens, very quiet and ideal for families. We travelled with our two young children (3 years and 17 months). The apartment is a good size, nicely furnished and had everything we needed including cot, highchair, buckets and spades, toys. The kitchen is really well-equipped too and we all slept like logs the comfortable beds!

The apartment is a short stroll from the main pool which is lovely, and the enclosed baby pool is very safe for little ones. A big hit with our two!

Personally I would recommend renting a car for your stay if you want to explore Estepona, Marbella and Benahavis which are all worth a visit. There are some great restaurants to try, Los Albanicos was fantastic and there is alot of choice in Marbella old town.

Thanks to Deborah and Sean for all your help with planning our trip and recommendations - we will definitely be back!

Just got back from Spain and I have to say that we had the best time ever! The complex was very nice with all the palm-trees, pines, fountains and pools and the apartment was just superb! It is much larger than I have expected and really cosy! Everything you may wish is there – the kitchen is very well equipped, the beds are comfortable and about one minute walk away is a heated pool, which was the best thing for our children. Although the sun was shining and the weather was good, the sea is still cold in April. The owners of the apartment are also very helpful and kind! I highly recommend this place to everybody!

Great apartment

A beautiful apartment in a wonderful urbanisation. The apartment was really well equipped with all mod cons. It was excellent to have the use of a dishwasher, and to have the travel cot and childrens bowls and cutlery (plastic).The property was very clean and well maintained, as well as being spacious. The outside areas are beautiful and very well maintained and the heated pool an absolute bonus. We went at the end of october, beginning of November and the pool was very warm. A great short break, and would recommend to anyone.

Our lovely apartment benefits from being recently redecorated and modernised throughout to a high standard- particularly the new kitchen- whilst providing all of the comforts and luxuries that you would find at home. Both the lounge and master bedroom open onto a secluded garden area and terrace where there is an outdoor dining table, chairs and sunloungers. The master bedroom boasts a comfortable king-size bed, colour T.V. and safe. All of the English terrestrial channels, sky sportsand movies, as well as many European channels are also available. There are many sun loungers available around all of the pools, with a section of the main pool enclosed as a safe childrens pool, whilst all areas provide accessibility to the elderly and disabled. On the way down to the beach, there is a children’s playground. Cot and baby facilities are available. During off peak periods, we are happy to be flexible on change over days.
