Villa Santa Cristina is situated on top of a hill, from where one can admire the breathtaking surrounding landscapes, gradually leading to the vineyards and olive groves.
The villa has an area of 600 square meters and is made up of three floors, all accessed with a lift.
A large terrace with gazebo, furnished with tables and chairs for pleasant outdoor dining, gives easy access to a beautiful lush garden which leads to the pool.
The pool, (14m x 7m and is 1.20m to 3m deep), is only 50m distance from the villa, and is located over an extensive lawn that surrounds the entire terrace area.
Three hours of daily made service included in the price.
Inside the villa: Flat TV, SKY, free Internet broadband, stereo, DVD, iPod speakers, fireplace, billiards, tennis table.
Available free of charge to our guests, is a very beautiful tennis court and five-a-side football with artificial turf. Rackets and balls are also supplied. (These facilities are not at exclusive use)
History of the Villa: The Santa Cristina Estate belongs, for many generations, to one of the most old aristocratic family in the Sabina, the counts Orsolini Cencelli.
The main Villa, Santa Cristina, was built in the second half of the 18th Century. Its ancient walls have been through periods of ancient and recent history. In fact, in the land adjacent to the villa, there are several archaeological finds dating back to the second century BC., the Etruscan period, and which now form part of the collection of the Museum of Magliano Sabina
During World War II it was used as a hospital by German soldiers.
After the War, Count Valentino Orsolini Cencelli retired to his private life there. He was the father of the present owner, and was a famous Italian politician of the '30s, best known for directing the draining of the Pontine Marshes, and for founding the cities of Sabaudia and Latina.
