Madden's View is an amazing 5 bedroom villa located on the edge of a cliff with a spectacular ocean view in the untouched east coast parish of St.Philip, a small secluded beach is just a few hundred yards away. Ground floor consists of full bathroom, study, spacious living area to seat 7, dining area to seat 8 adjoining a modern kitchen with breakfast bar to seat 4. Behind the kitchen is a laundry area with washer/dryer & bathroom. Double glass doors lead to an outdoor communal balcony & patio. The patio overlooks an infinity pool, large garden and a fantastic ocean view. The master bedroom is also on the ground floor with an En Suite & Jacuzzi. The 1st floor consists of a large living area leading out to a larger than average outdoor balcony and 4 further bedrooms. There are 5 en suite bedrooms in all, 4 of which have balcony’s, 3 of which are sea view. All rooms have ceiling fans installed & because the sea breeze keeps the temperature cool no air conditioning is required.

4-8 minute drive to Bottom Bay, Long Bay, and the famous Crane Beach. Various activities are available on certain beaches such as Jet Skiing, Snorkeling and Scuba diving. 8 mins to Six Roads Shopping Centre which has a cash point, pharmacy, shopping centre, video/DVD rental and various other shops and fast food restaurants. Grantley Adams airport is 15 minutes drive. Although there is a regular local bus service we recommend car hire. 20 minutes drive to St Lawrence Gap on south coast. 15 minutes drive to Bathsheba on east coast. 20 minutes drive to Barbados golf club, 25 minutes drive to Rockley Golf course - both public courses, where clubs can be hired. 15 minutes drive for crazy golf at Ocean Park. Maid service is available for an extra fee as well as pickup & drop-off to the Airport. Car hire can also be arranged. This Location is ideal for a family getaway or special occasions such weddings etc.

Holiday in Paradise

There were 9 ladies (10 for a few days) and 1 baby on this trip and we all had the greatest time. The villa is so big that you barely notice there are so many of you. When a friend popped over from the US for a few days, she was quite happy to sleep outside on the balcony upstairs on one of the huge chaise longues (with mosquito repellant of course) at night and we think she got the best deal in the end with the gorgeous breeze and ocean sounds!!
The oceanfront view is unbelievable. The pool area outside is gorgeous and our toddler loved the baby pool and walking about in the garden area.
The locals around the house are extremely friendly, security is great (alarm and huge gates and locks).
Definitely need a car to travel to and from town. On nights where you don't want to drive, you can ring the local Crane Hotel (from house phone) and order taxi - We ended up doing this once and having our own personal taxi driver with an 8 seater at our own disposal for rest of hols, which was great!
Paradise holiday and can't wait to get back there!

Beautiful Villa!

We thoroughly enjoyed Maddens View. The villa was as advertised and the view is stunning! My only gripe was that the cable was out our entire 2 week stay so bring DVD's if you are bringing kids or love to watch TV.

The property owner was very helpful with making our stay comfortable and the cleaning staff were thorough. I would stay here again and again!

We couldn't be more satisfied. The villa is exactly as shown on this site. It's beautiful, peaceful, and made for a wonderful vacation!

Some Info
-Located on the far Southeast corner of the island about 10 minutes North of The Crane. It takes roughly 40 minutes to reach St. Lawrence Gap and 45 or so to reach Holetown.
-The house is in a quiet residential area with beautiful views and a wonderful cool breeze especially in the evening.
-Fully stocked kitchen and the pool is excellent for an oceanfront dip.
-The caretaker on the island is extremely helpful and the maid service is courteous and thorough.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, People with Disabilities, Romantic Getaway

Trip cut too short

We recently returned from our trip to Barbados and unfortunately, we had to leave early due to one of our kids being sick. The villa was great! Spectacular ocean views from all rooms on the water side and wonderful breezes. The pool was perfect for our 3 year old with the option for her to use the big part of the pool or the smaller jacuzzi area. It was great to have a small yard too, where she enjoyed picking flowers. The property was very clean and staff arrived on various days to clean the pool and the rooms. The master bedroom was enormous and had tons of closet space. There were bathrooms in every corner of the villa. We especially enjoyed our time sitting out on the first floor patio. The last night we were there it was so much fun watching the kids fly kites and listening to the ocean waves. I would definitely recommend this property to people looking for a quiet get-away!

If Quiet Is What Your Looking For.

The house itself was very nice, But very far away from the tourist area. A rental vehicle is a must, and you will have to do alot of driving. The beach near the house is not suitable for swimming as ocean is extremely ruff with large waves and rocks.
