WOW.... what a wonderland ... Sadie (the dog) and I (the human slave to Sadie) had a magical time ... he only thing not great was the wonderful clear/warm/sunny weather ... I sort of wanted cold/rainy – crank up the woodstove ... glass of wine ... read a book ... sit on the incredible window seat ..... BUT... alas ...I had to enjoy the deck in the sun with the wine and the dog enjoying the birds ... now I know what my mom meant by "didn't really want to come home" when she stayed here ... will certainly come back...
Thank you … K.
We live in San Francisco and often laugh and say we are in the business of providing serenity and relaxation. My husband founded The Mindful Body, a place for yoga and therapeutic message. Then I added Sea Mist to provide a place to relax outside of the city. We love to travel, especially Italy. Wherever we are we like to be by the water.
Many years ago we took a trip to Maine and fell in love with it. Soon after, the opportunity arose to acquire a vacation property. We always were drawn to West Marin and when we saw the cottage in Marshall it reminded us a bit of Maine and still does to this day. The boat works and Marshall store add to the atmosphere. Of course there are oysters rather than lobsters. And we love that it is only one hour from our home!
We love that we can rent kayaks a few steps away. We certainly appreciate the fine options for dining. Nick's is ten minutes North. Point Reyes offers several well regarded spots as well. If we want a close beach walk we head up to Dillon only 17 minutes North. If we want to hike we head over to Point Reyes National Park. Some people head to the wine country. Often we just sit and enjoy gazing at the water. Our dog Lulu loves to go by way of Stinson Beach where she love to run free before we head on down the road to Sea Mist.
