Come to the best weather in the world, at the best beach in San Diego. Our condominium is located on the ground level (for easy in and out access), with a grassy lounging area. The condominium faces both the ocean and an estuary filled with birds and wildlife.
A quick walk leads you to a Cape Cod Village for dining, boating, and sightseeing adventures.
Take a stroll or a jog on the sandy beach, and stop at a pier-side restaurant. Or go golfing on many nearby championship courses.
The condominium complex looks like the hanging gardens of Babylon, with giant poi, a humongous spa and pool, table tennis, billiards, and an exercise room.
All kitchen appliances are furnished. This one-bedroom condominium sleeps four, with a pull-out sofa bed.
I've never written a negative review before - but here goes. I would give this place a "zero" star if that was an option. DISGUSTING. Dirtiest condo I have ever stayed in - an embarrassment to North Coast Village- inside and out. Spiders and ants everywhere. Thick layer of dust. Rusty fridge and stove - grubby fingerprints/scuffmarks/stains everywhere - moldy trash can. Linens all soiled, old, scratchy and even some burned with cigarettes. No patio furniture - just 2 plastic folding chairs. We have rented 5 times at North Coast Village - all neighbors of this condo on the beach access/harbor view/ grassy lawn - there is a reason why this condo is cheap and not thousands $$ more like the ones next door. It is FILTHY. We work hard and saved long months - cash - for this trip - we will never take a "cheap" rental again. This owner doesn't require a written rental agreement - there is a reason for that - so you can't sue her for the money back!!! If we were rich we would have moved to a hotel immediately. We are not. We were stuck. Vacation ruined. We blocked off the kitchen and did not use it. Every single dish was filthy. We did not cook a single meal. We scrubbed the floors so we could walk on them and even cleaned the sliding glass doors, mirrors and spider -covered patio. I am sorry if you have already booked this place - try to CANCEL YOUR CHECK. Our deposit was returned quickly - thank goodness - as soon as we cashed it I wrote this review. BUYER BEWARE. We complained to North Coast Village HOA office - they were sympathetic but not helpful. Apparently slums are allowed. Never rent at NCV without a rental agreement - look for owner bios, good reviews and LOTS of photos - you want to rent at the going rate - don't take bargains or rentals that only describe the surroundings and not the actual condos. We were stupid. We hope you learn from our mistakes. The listing was NOT accurate. The property was NOT clean. The owner provided no communication, instructions, rental agreement or contact through the duration of our stay. We love NCV and Oceanside, but would NEVER recommend this property.
