This well appointed air conditioned, terraced apartment (100sq meters) is situated two minutes walk from the famous Cours Mirabeau, in the heart of the historic town of Aix en Provence.
Located in the very centre of the old town, it is in a quiet, charming street within easy walking distance to the markets and all amenities.
Situated on the third floor of a traditional city building,the apartment offers a lower and upper level.The lower floor comprises of main hall, 2 bedrooms with adjoining shower areas, a bedroom with twin beds and a seperate toilet. On the upper level, there is a bright, spacious kitchen lounge and dining area which extends out on to the terrace. The kitchen is fully equiped with all that you possibly need.
While preparing lunch you can look out onto the terrace,roof tops and the hills beyond.
The upper lounge area extends out onto the terrace, capturing the sun throughout the day. There is a BBQ on the terrace for those who wish to buy and grill produce from the nearby market.
The apartment has many traditional features throughout, including original wooden beams and traditional tiled flooring.It has been recently refurbished to a high standard,with the added comfort of air conditioning in all bedrooms.

Originally a Spa town founded by the Romans, today Aix is a labyrinth of tiny alleyways and squares and is known as the 'City of a Thousand Fountains'. You can experience and explore the historical sites,cafes, restaurants and superb markets of this lively Provencal town literally within walking distance of the apartment. Stroll down to the local boulanger to buy croissants or just sit with a coffee and enjoy the bustle of the market being set up for the day. Imagine the local produce that you will see at the daily market, the smell of fresh melons,the wonderful array of vegetables,fish and cheese.

Use Aix as your base to visit many of the beautiful villages of the region. If you do not have your own transport we offer tours to ensure that you see all the hidden gems of Provence. A boat trip to the crystal clear waters of the 'Calanques' would be a real 'must' on the list of things to do.
If you are a wine enthusiast, vineyards are scatterd around the whole region of Provence. Cultural, wine and food tastng tours in Aix can be arranged on request, together with fully comprehensive tours of Marseille, the Cote D'Azur , Saint Tropez,and the 'Gorge Du Verdun'. Suffice to say there is a huge amount of choice, catering for all types of tastes and interests!

We are a Scottish family who decided to come and live the dream. With our 2 children we came to experience Aix for 2 years, fell in love with Provence, and stayed for 6 years. Having been so lucky to experience the charm of Provence we are happy to share a wonderful apartment and environment with you.

One of the highlights of the apartment is the terrace. You can enjoy sitting on the sun filled terrace throughout the whole day.This is extremely rare in the centre of Aix.
Markets, shopping,museums,galleries and restaurants are all within easy walking distance from the apartment.
Food plays a large part in our daily lives here in France. We can tell you where our favourite cheese shop is located, the best coffee in town and where the most mouth watering patisseries can be bought.
A comprehensive list of places to eat in Aix together with recommendations for lunch and diner around the region are all readily available in our welcome pack.Little gems that are sometimes hard to come accross are always welcomed by our guests.
This apartment is very nice. It was roomy, and comfortable. The terrace was great. Rooms on the front are a bit noisy as the revelers start at 2 am and the newpaper delivery drivers thump their papers on Rue de l'Opera at 3 am. Closing the windows deadens some of the noise. The location is wonderful with only 2 blocks between you and the profiteroles for breakfast. The old town of Aix is so fun, and the street markets are worth experiencing. The only drawback is the four stories to the front door. For those with any mobility problems, this would not be the place for you.
