Relaxing week at Tequila Sunrise before the start of a new school year

My family of five and our dog along with our good friends (another family of 5, plus dog) had a wonderful time at Tequila Sunrise from 8/25-9/1/12. The home had plenty of room for all of us. The kids enjoyed the pool, game room, in-room DVDs, and the quiet neighborhood for safe bike riding. We went to the beach every day. Most of the time we rode our bikes to the beach. My husband would bring umbrellas, cooler, chairs, and other supplies by truck. We'd meet at the walkway to the dune and everyone would grab a handful and head to a great spot on the beach. Then he'd drive the truck back and return with his bike. The trip was so quick that he'd get back to help carry things to our spot. Of course, not everyone would travel as heavy as we do for the beach. It would be easy enough to bring a wagon with a couple things...but like I said, we had 6 young children and 2 dogs! It was very easy to leave the beach and return to the house, if needed. The bike ride was quick.
The pool at the house was fantastic. The kids were in the water within minutes of finishing breakfast. This allowed the grown ups to put together picnic lunches and pack up for the beach without them begging us to head out the door before we were ready.
The house was comfortable, clean, and spacious. The kitchen was well equipped. When I rent a home, I bring my own knives, cutting boards, and other favorite cooking tools, but didn't need to dip into my stash because this kitchen even has a zester!
The weather was perfect, so we didn't do much more than, pool, bike rides, beach, pool, kite flying, walks, hot tub, deck...repeat. It was a perfect way to soak up the remaining summer sun and fun.
