Photos and Description of the Haute-Vienne vacation rental Situated in a pretty hamlet a few minutes from the Roman town of Chateauponsac

The house is full of character and charm, offering every modern Convenience. Three large bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, spacious, fully equipped Country kitchen diner and large sitting Room. The pool is south facing and fully enclosed. Outside is a patio with BBQ and large grassed area. Table-tennis, badminton and other outside games are all available to use. Auzillac is a few minutes drive from Chateauponsac and the historic city of Limoges is close by. The picturesque River Gartemps is 10 minutes walk through the woods from the Gite and the mountains of Ambazac and the Leisure lakes of St Pardoux and Bessines are only 20 min drive away.

Local Area: Lakes & Beaches Two leisure lakes with sand beaches are within 20 mins drive. lake of St Pardoux has three beach areas all water sports available (sailing, canoeing, water skiing) + bars/restaurants at each beach area. Boat owners can launch their own boats. The Lake at Bessines sur Gartemps has canoes for rent and a snack bar in the trees. Further details Fishing is available on numerous lakes and local rivers (The River Gartemps is within walking distance). Canoeing and horse riding are also available locally. The area is ideal for walking and biking. All local amenities are available at Chateauponsac. Distances Roman town of Chateauponsac is about a mile and a half from the Gite. Historic city of Limoges, famous for its porcelain 35 mins drive. Limoges Airport is approx 35 mins drive away.

Ski: Skiing 2 hrs 15 mins away in the Massif Central. We use as you can check the night before on the website to ensure there is good snow.

Other Activities: Water-skiing, Canoeing.

The perfect away from it all location but lots of interesting areas to visit nearby. A car is a must for this property though.
The farmhouse is clean and well maintained. The kitchen is well equipped and spacious.
The pool is a relaxing haven and a wonderful suntrap.
Games are provided and we enjoyed spending our evenings playing boules with a glass of wine in the sunshine.
We would certainly recommend it to our friends and family, and will probably return ourselves in the future.
The owners were very helpful prior to and after our booking.
