Yazade house as a whole has been featured in BBC Good Homes 2009 and is also featured in the May issue of Period Ideas 2011.
Yazade has been described by clients as an oasis. Yazade is situated in the turkish quarter of Kyrenia, tucked away amongst the old properties and meandering streets. Everything is in close proximity, the local baker is just around the corner, so freshly baked pitta bread is available every morning for breakfast and there are supermarkets close by too. We also have wifi at Yazade.
Please bear in mind Yazade Apartment can be let us a one bedroom ensuite apartment or a two bedroom both en suite apartment. The prices stated are for the one bedroom apartment only please email and enquire for prices for the two bedroom apartment.
Yazade is also home to No:14's which is a bistro around the pool area from 7pm 6 evenings a week in the summer season. it is a quiet romantic setting so shouldn't disturb your holiday at all. Please see trip advisor reviews for your peace of mind.
Kyrenia picturesque harbour, local tourist sites and the main shopping area is just 5 minutes walk from the house.
Yazade's location is unbeatable being within walking distance to all the local amenities.
We have enjoyed our stay so much at Yazade House in Cyprus, the house is a real oasis, so beautiful we never wanted to leave and found the surroundings totally relaxing, the accommodation is excellent and everything we had hoped it would be, and we intend returning every year. We are so grateful for the hospitality shown to us by the owners of Yazade who did everything to make our holiday perfect.
Yazade House is a unique property in Northern Cyprus, although only 10 years old, it looks as if it has been in existance for ever, almost with a Tuscan feel.
The biggest benefit is being right in the center of the old turkish quarter, so walking to restaurants and bars is very easy, and one gets the true flavour of what Cyprus is really about.
What a beautiful and relaxing haven you have cleverly created hidden right in the centre of the lovely Turkish Quarter. Visually stunning and perfectly situated to enjoy all that Kyrenia has to offer on foot. Breakfast sitting outside our dear little summer house every morning was an absolute delight. Thank you, we will always remember our lovely holiday at Yazade!
My boyfriend and I loved Yazade its a stunning property tucked away in the old turkish quarter of kyrenia, its really local, with the locals playing backgammon in the coffee shops. This is the real Cyprus.and its just a short walk to the harbour and shops. The apartment was lovely very bright and airy, and Cliff and Kay were so helpful.always on hand to offer help and advice. We are so sorry we missed the opening of their Bistro 14 next week. The reviews are wonderful, we shall return.
Yazade House was an utter sham if not a torturous winter experience! We had the option of a one bedroom cottage or a two bedroom apartment. We opted for the two bedroom apartment as my son and his wife planned on visiting for a week. Plus, it afforded us more room to store luggage, and groceries as there wasn't much room in the kitchen. We planned on staying for four months, not four days. During the coldest two weeks in 25 years due to a Siberian blast, we were left begging for more heat, which was totally out of our control but to have been included as per our rental agreement. We got into a damp, cold bed every night during this spell wearing two pairs of pyjamas, a hood, and socks. And heaven forbid one should have to use the facilities during the night! One could have hung meat in that bathroom! In an effort to make our bed a little more comfortable, while the central was still on, I would hang the pillows on the radiator for an hour every day in order to dry out the terrible dampness. The same for my jeans every morning. We were offered three bowls of rice for the dampness in the closets!
We also had to endure the invasion of the ants, which while they were totally evident to anyone entering the apartment, as did the cleaning lady most days, we were never offered any kind of assistance and dealt with this situation as best we could.
After failing to provide a more reasonable level of comfort for us, two seniors, and then to be confronted with a complete breakdown of any heat source in our bedroom and to be told that nothing could be done for four days, we had no other option but to take a hotel room, at our own extra expense, as we were both becoming quite ill. We were offered a gas tank for our bedroom. Having read about the dangers of using such a thing in an enclosed area, we declined the offer.
What relish when we finally crawled into a dry, warm bed for the first time in weeks! Heavenly bliss! We then could not endure the thought of returning to Yazade House and its paucity of basic comfort.
Despite the fact that we had prearranged payment in full for four months, we ended up staying only six weeks due to these intolerable conditions. Twice, we requested a settlement meeting and at least partial refund for the remaining weeks but were told in short order that no refund would be forthcoming. Is this any way to treat your guests and does this indicate the slightest integrity? How charming, "darling!"
We so enjoyed our stay at Yazade House. It is an oasis of peace and tranquility, with its beautiful courtyard garden and swimming pool, amidst the delightful, colourful, bustling town of Kyrenia.
The apartment was beautifully appointed and extremely comfortable with many thoughtful little touches. We especially liked the fact that we were just a few minutes walk from the centre of town with all that it has to offer, and the delightful harbour with its many cafes and restaurants. We were amazed how quiet it was at night, and we both slept really soundly - even the nearby minaret didn't wake us.
I would not hesitate to recommend Yazade House to friends, we loved our stay there and only wished that we had booked for longer.
This was our first stay at the beautiful and relaxing Yazade House, perfectly located in the midst of the Turkish Quarter of Kyrenia. A short walk from the town centre and harbour, with some lovely local restaurants just a stone’s throw away, we could not have asked for a better location to explore Kyrenia by foot. Yazade House is a true gem of a find due to its central location. When we were looking at apartments in Kyrenia to rent, this was the only one that had such a perfect location.
All this before we had even set foot in the apartment or met Kay and Cliff!
The apartment is stunning; light and airy and furnished with white washed wooden furniture. We enjoyed sitting with the French doors open and eating our breakfast outside on the terrace that is beautifully scented by a fragrant tree.
Our stay at Yazade truly felt like home away from home. That was because Kay and Cliff are very special people who make you feel welcome, comfortable and at ease. My fiancé and I enjoyed spending time chatting to them both over coffee and when our stay came to its end we did not want to leave as we had enjoyed their company so much.
We will definitely be returning to Yazade again next year, and the year after that, and the year after that…….you get the picture! Thank you Kay and Cliff, we will always remember our stay with you at the lovely Yazade House.
This was our second stay at Yazade House and it was just as special and memorable as the first time. The extremely comfortable apartment is contained within a stunning house with a beautiful pool and garden. It is an oasis of relaxation in the old Turkish quarter of Kyrenia and within walking distance of the harbour and many shops and restaurants - that's if you can tear yourself away from Yazade! Cliff and Kay are a very special couple and wonderful hosts, and their restaurant which is set around the pool each evening (except Sundays) is in a class of its own! We're looking forward to returning to Yazade again next year.
Yazade House is situated within a walled garden right in the centre of Kyrenia, just 5 minutes from the sea. Nicosia is 15 minutes drive away and Famagusta 45 minutes by car. The airport is approx.45 minutes away from Kyrenia.
