The house, garden and surrounds:
Les Blenets is a hamlet of four houses between Louroux de Beaune and Hyds, a small village about twelve minutes walk from the house. Although small, Hyds has a very good, traditional bakers.
Les Blenets makes a fabulous holiday base for a large family holiday group or for a group of friends with a special interest. Even your pets are welcome now that the PETS scheme is in place for your return to England.
The Farmhouse has a large, traditionally tiled living room, with comfy settees and a dining room with 1 large, oval table that will seat 12 people. The well equipped kitchen, is off the living room. A stable door leads onto the patio, next to the heated pool. There are five individually styled bedrooms, an attractive spacious bathroom and a separate shower room.
The Barn (Galerie) adjoins the Farmhouse. It is so called because the lounge, with its wood burning stove, is overlooked by a wooden gallery with a romantic bedroom and beyond are two further ensuite bedrooms.
Your holiday lifestyle:
The lifestyle at Les Blenets is typically a warm peaceful out-of-doors one - swimming, sketching, bird watching or just dozing on a lounger beside the pool. Indulge in unhurried meals on the patio or just stroll around the garden with its view over miles of open countryside. Plenty of sun loungers and a gas barbeque are provided to complement this life style, while for the romantic at heart the pool can be illuminated at night, and the resident Nightingales sing for hours from the nearby trees, in season.

Eating and excursions:
There are two villages within 12 minutes walk. One has a boulangerie. We would also highly recommend the local restaurant called L’ Hirondelle which is run by a charming Dutch couple on their small holding, on which all their produce is grown. There are interesting museums in Montlucon, St. Porcain and at Charroux, which is famous for it’s mustard. The nearby Forest of Troncais is the largest oak forest in Europe and renowned for its wild life. There are two nearby lakes for swimming and windsurfing and the nearest golf course is only a 12km drive away. Hot water thermes” can be taken locally at Neris les Bains or further afield at Vichy which is a really chiq centre for shopping and also has a famous lake for sailing.
