This magnificent villa is located near the Albano Lake just outside Rome in natural surroundings of great value and fascination, among lakes surrounded by woods and forests, volcanic lands, vineyards and olive groves. It is surrounded by 22 acres of park in the beautiful Castelli Romani Park Area, near Albano Laziale. It provides the perfect place to relax and enjoy the culture and cuisine of Rome and Latium. The Villa overlooks hanging gardens and provides sweeping views of the lake. Rome is within easy reach, as the other medieval villages like Castelgandolfo, Grottaferrata, Nemi and Ariccia. Here, there are a very large living room with several sofas and fireplace, a dining room, a well-equipped kitchen with electric double oven, 6 gas burners, extra large dishwasher & double fridge, 3 double bedrooms with 3 en-suite bathrooms, 2 triple bedrooms with 1external toilet, 1 quadruple bedroom with 1 en-suite bathroom with shower. Fabulous large pool and soccer field.

Castelgandolfo golf club: a mansion built in the seventeenth century overlooks the crater of a volcano. The residence, originally built for Cardinal Flavio Chigi, is now considered the most charming club house among golf clubs; the crater, thanks to the imagination of Robert Trent Jones, has been transformed into a fascinating golf course, full of technical features. The naturally inclined land has also been endowed with bunkers, small lakes, artificial obstacles and many more tricks like centenarian olive trees, oaks and pine trees. The balcony of the club house offers a fascinating and complete panorama of the course: the 18 holes can be embraced in a single look, giving the feeling of an intimate and evocative atmosphere.

The Golf Club is at only 5 km from the Villa.

This ancient town rises on the Colli Albani, hills of volcanic origin, and near a lake also called Albano. The town is one of the so-called 'Castelli Romani' (the others are Frascati, Grottaferrata, Marino, Albano, Ariccia, Genzano, Nemi, Rocca di Papa, Rocca Priora, Montecompatri, Monte Porzio Catone, Colonna) all founded in the middle ages by Popes and rich Roman families as their countryside residences. The area of the Colli Albani, the Castelli Romani and the lakes of Nemi and Albano are included in the Regional Park of the Castelli Romani. The town rose from a settlement established by emperor Domitianus, in the vicinity of the ancient Latin town of Alba Longa, the capital of the Latin peoples whose kings ruled over Latium for centuries until Rome, founded by the Alban princes Romulus and Remus, replaced Alba.

My family and friends rented this villa for a week to celebrate my 50th Birthday. What a beautiful home. All our needs were tended to and the villa owner was especially helpful in assisting us with our arrangements and providing us with maps and information about nearby places. While this vacation had many bumps along the way including trouble with our car rental breaking down, canceled/late flights, 100 degree weather and an an overbooked tour schedule, coming back to this villa at the end of every day was like being in paradise. The pool was an especially welcome amenity! I would highly recommend this villa. Albano Laziale was a great little town with Rome being easily accessible. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay for two weeks.

We arrived at night to a dark house, but oh so beautiful. The staff was there and took good care of us. The rooms were fine and especially the master bedroom. Almost all rooms have balcony, which we liked. The kitchen was a bit small but ok. The garden was lovely. Unfortunately, we went out in the dark when we arrived and one of the grandchildren fell from the lawn down to the football ground, a height difference of perhaps 3 m, and sprained his foot. A small fence there to warn of the height difference would have been good. There were lots of steps in the house but we liked the multi-story design since we were so many persons. We will never forget this fantastic week and would love to go back sometime.
