This ground level, studio apartment is a perfect fit for one or two people. It has a full private bath, a king size bed, and a fully equipped kitchen. Enjoy the view of the ocean from the shaded terrace or from the sunny balcony and cool off in the large pool.
Located on top of the hill above Playa Pelada - the quiet part of 'town', where the breezes keep things fresh and cool, the studio is part of the six-apartment 'Casa-Banda' complex. In total, we can accommodate 12 guests, making it perfect for a group of adult family members or friends. See listing # 220373 for information about another apartment. See our Casa-Banda web site for more photos and information about the complex.
All apartments share the pool and rancho (pool house) with charcoal BBQ area.Weekly maid service is included in the price.
We do not have a TV, but there is a radio with CD-player and a selection of various music.
Bring your laptop and connect to the secure, high speed WiFi internet connection, fast enough for a perfect Skype connection.
For complete privacy, the property is nestled between lots of tropical plants behind fences and walls with locked gates, making it perfect for 'Clothing Optional Costa Rica' kind of living.
If you like life in the nude, please inquire even if the calendar looks like the unit is booked. We might just have reserved Casa Banda for the nudists/naturists at that time.
We do ask that you do not smoke inside or bring pets at all.
Our lower age limit is 18 years, and a truly relaxing, adult atmosphere is included in the price. No matter your age, you will love the pool which is the largest private pool in the area. It takes 10-15 minute to walk to the beach or the mouth of Rio Nosara for swimming, fishing, and shell collecting. (Coming back takes a little bit longer, because it is up-hill part of the way.)
Car or ATV is necessary for trips to Nosara Village and beyond. If you decide not to rent a vehicle for your entire stay, there is taxi service for a reasonable price and now five car rental places where you can rent for a day or more.
If you like surfing, the waves at nearby Playa Guiones are considered some of the best in Costa Rica.
Between July and December, Playa Ostional, half hour away, is the scene of one of Nature's wonders, when the Olive Ridley sea turtles come ashore to nest. 45 days later, the babies come out of the sand, another awe inspiring thing to see. Year round, there is a rich bird and animal life everywhere.

Despite our Scandinavian roots, we have always turned our eyes to the South when traveling for pleasure. In 1980, we emigrated to Virginia and found a climate much better than what we were used to in Denmark, but our vacations would generally take us even further south – and always to bodies of water. Over the years, we have seen many beautiful places, but it was always good to go back home to Virginia.
Bibi purchased this studio in 2001
Why Bibi chose Nosara
In the summer of 2000, we traveled to Nosara, Costa Rica for the first time. We stayed at a small resort, which a friend had made us aware of. It was love at first sight! Nosara had everything we like: beach, ocean, warm weather, tropical fruits, fresh fish, original, local flair and friendly people. For the first time, we felt very much “at home”. Nosara chose us to stay, and a building lot for sale nearby kept calling us. Building in a Central American country has been a very interesting experience! It has taken a little blood, lots of sweat and some tears - and more patience than we thought we had, but we love the result. The resort where we stayed is no longer in business, but we are, and we invite you to share in our dream. Since August 2012, we have been living at Casa-Banda, making sure that our guests are well taken care of.
What makes this studio unique
“Tabidi” is our efficient, yet spacey studio that has everything you need for comfortable living whether you come alone or with a companion. Over the years, we have made several friends who come back and insist on staying in Tabidi.
Here, you pay for a small, private place, but get to stay in “big” surroundings with access to the largest, privately owned pool in the area and a good chance of making longtime friends.

It’s been a wonderful week & both Jo and I would like to thank you for all your help and advice.
You have a lovely spot here and it’s nice to find a place that makes us feel so “at home”…despite the hectic schedule.
We’re are both looking forward to getting to know you better, once we are residents.
All the best!
