Charming family house from the XVIII century, newly renovated. 300 m2 (patio about 70 m2) Delightful Patio, Terraces on the 1st & 2nd floor, one balcony. Top equipment in the big kitchen (oven, induction cooker, American fridge, dish washer). Living-room with fireplace in stones. Dining room with wide windows. Fully equipped washroom with tumbler and wash machine. Patio (courtyard). 2 toilets. 1st floor: 2 bedrooms, one terrace, one balcony, 3 WC. 2nd floor: 1 bedroom, one bathroom with shower, 1 WC. The whole house is furnished with delightful antiques from the region. 4 tables and over 20 chairs available on the ground floor for family parties. Barbecue (gas), lying chairs, comfy armchairs for reading, dreaming or resting, trees and flowers from the region in the patio. Very quiet, privacy, perfect for families with children as the patio is protected by the house on two sides and by very high stoned walls on the two other sides.

Barjac enjoys a privileged geographic situation. It is the starting point of many tourist routes : the Cèze valley, the Ardèche’s nature reserve, the Cévennes National park. Locally, visitors keen on history will find a wide range of sites going from the Prehistory to the Renaissance age. Festivals: Festival Blues à Bagnols sur Cèze, theatre Festival in Avignon, Classical music concerts in the roman arenas of Orange and Nîmes. Museums: Grotte Chauvet (cave), Aven d'Orgnac, Alès (mines), Anduze: bamboo forest (a dream in summer when it is hot). Very nice property with French charm

We went on holiday in this house in 2008 (3 adults, 7 children). The house is very large, completely faciliated with everything you need and tastefully arranged. The house is loacted in the city of Barjac, so it takes a few steps to the bakery, restaurants etc. The renter is very kind and helpful, hence we felt as welcomed guests. The Barjac region has a lot of charm and provides many possibilities for sight-seeing, walking, bathing (Ardeche, Ceze) and canoeing (car is needed). We can thoroughly recommend this property! Older people or people with disabilities should be aware that there are a couple of stairs (three floors).

Spent a week last July at this property, and I have to say it was delightful, the owner of the property was most helpful before and during our stay. We went to meet up with family from USA who had rented in a village a few km away, but I have to say they were more impressed with our house than the one at which they were staying. The village of barjac is so picturesque and has everything you would need during your holiday on the doorstep.

Wir haben dort den Urlaub mit 3 Erwachsenen und 7 Kindern verbracht. Das Haus ist sehr groß, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und großzügig mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Alle genannten Ausstattungsmerkmale und die Fotos entsprechen den Tatsachen. Ein kleinerer Teil des Hauses ist zwar noch nicht so hochwertig saniert wie auf den Bildern, aber auch diese Bereiche haben Charme. Die Vermieterin ist ausgesprochen nett und hilfbereit, wir haben uns als willkommene Gäste gefühlt. Barjac und die Umgebung sind sehr schön, es gibt viele Möglichkeiten zum Wandern, Schwimmen (Ardeche, Ceze), Kanu fahren usw. (Auto erforderlich). Wir können das Haus nur empfehlen. Für Ältere oder Behinderte ist zu bedenken, dass es drei Etagen sind (mehrere Treppen).
