The house was originally built by a local builder for his own use and is therefore of high quality. There are three double bedrooms, one bathroom and a separate toilet and a great living space with new cozy wood burning stove. The house is child friendly as the large garden is fully enclosed is located in a quiet rural location in the village of Limbus overlooked by a vineyard but within striking distance of Maribor, Slovenia's second largest city with all the usual city attractions. In fact it is the best of both worlds as it is situated on wine road (vinska cesta) No 17 with 5 official vineyards within walking distance but a 10 minutes bus ride takes you in to the centre of Maribor. Conversely a short 5 minute drive will bring you to Slovenia's largest ski slope and home to the most popular women's world cup slalom race - the Golden Fox. There is something of interest for everyone within 5 minutes walk.

  • Minimum stay / charge £150. We can arrange transfer by taxi from Graz airport for 60 Euro one way. Discounted car hire (cheaper than budget airline online offers!) delivered to the door or airport can also be organised.

    A non refundable deposit £100 / 100 Euro is required to secure the booking. Payment in full is required 8 weeks prior to arrival. A £100 / 100 Euro security deposit (refundable) should be added to all booking costs. 1 Euro per night Tourist tax is payable for all adults (18 and over).

A cozy house in a quiet neighbourhood

Wonderful, comfortable, very well maintained house for up to 6 people; very well furnished and supplied with all necessary equipment + some extras. Towels and linens provided. Two double bedrooms, one twin bedroom. One spacious bathroom with bathtub and toilet. Another independent toilet. Large kitchen with nice dining area to seat 6. Living room with a large sofa, wooden stove, TV+DVD+games (Playstation icl.); some music CDs and DVDs avalable, books. Large terrace with table and chairs for 6. Wooden penthouse for barbecue.
South-east exposure, nice front view to a mountain ridge. Very warm in the wintertime. Location: in a quiet village only 3-minute car ride to Maribor and the ski slopes; about 60 km from the Austrain border. Car required.
Owner's Response: Very happy that you enjoyed the house. We really hope to see you again very soon. The snow is excellent at the moment for the ladies FIS World Cup Slalom and Giant Slalom event in Maribor this weekend 10.1.09 .

As you mention a car is handy but there is a good, regular and reasonable bus service from the village centre in to Maribors main bus and train station for those guests who do not wish to drive.

Great holiday

I was very impressed with my recent stay in this very spacious accommodation which is of a very high standard and provided all the essentials required for an enjoyable holiday. I particulary liked the sunny aspecr on the terrace and patio area especially when supplied with a gas barbeque and extremely comfortable sun loungers.
Owner's Response: As you say the house has amazing space both outside and inside with both terraces and patio areas south facing so great for a bit of sunbathing. Nice to hear you made good use of the BBQ.
