It is approximately 25 square kilometers in area, the second largest of the East Frisian Islands and is surrounded by the unique natural landscape of the Wadden Sea National Park, which was founded in 1996. The white sandy beach stretches for almost 14 kilometers. About 80 kilometers of cycling and hiking trails lead through a unique dune landscape. Norderney offers something for everyone: The Active putting on its shoes and goes for walking or jogging on the beach before he swings in the evening on the dance floor, making the movement muffle it with a good book from the public library in his comfortable beach chair and looks at his to the children building sandcastles.
