Villa Santa Barbara is an old farmhouse located in the heart of the Marche Region that was recently restored with taste keeping all traditional features.
Villa Santa Barbara has 4 different totally independent apartments, here we describe the apartment LECCIO, please scroll down to see the descriptions of the other apartments.
LECCIO is a 75 sqm apartment with two bedrooms, one spacy kitchen, one living room and one bathroom. LECCIO is furnished with antique furniture, part of it was part of the house and was restored, part of it was bought at the antiquities market.
LECCIO is surrounded by a 5,000sqm garden fully fenced, with pool, and offers lots of shady and sunny places where you can be undisturbed.

LECCIO has a private patio (each apartment has one) and plenty of loungers that you can place by the pool, under your favorite tree, or wherever it pleases you. Privacy and quiet are guaranteed, we know that these are a must for a good relaxing holiday.
The pool (5.5x11m), the pool bar, the renovated stone oven, the grill, and the covered parking are all fully functional ad available to all guests.

ROSE: 45sqm, on the ground floor, 1 kitchen, 1 king-size bedroom, 1bathroom.
For 2-4 guests: 400- 500 Euro/week
CEDRO: 45sqm, slightly elevated, accessible by an external staircase with 9 stone steps. One kitchen, one bedroom, one bathroom.Especially bright.
For 2-4 guests: 400 - 500 Euro/week
GLICINE: 75sqm, on the ground floor, one kitchen, one living room, one king-size bedroom, one bathroom.
For 2-4 people: 400 - 500 Euro/week.
Each apartment has a private patio, there are plenty of sun loungers available to all, that you can place next to the pool, under your favorite tree, or wherever it pleases you the most, your privacy is very important to us.
The province of Pesaro and Urbino is the northernmost of the Marche Region, it borders to the Umbria Region on the west and Emilia Romagna and San Marino on the north. It has a very well developed infrastructure which of course also benefits its visitors.It offers options for all sorts of interests, whether sports or cultural, whether to hiking or beach/river/lake sunbathing, it is all of easy access.
In addition to natural attractions such as the sea and the mountains, the area has a number of historical towns that all offer their own set of cultural activities and festivals, just to mention a few: Fano Jazz, Ville e Castella, Rock in the Park…we of course will provide you with tips and suggestions as you arrive, so that you won’t miss any of it.
Food and wine is of course also part of the tradition of the Marche Region and you’ll have plenty tasty local typical dishes to explore. In each town, even the smallest you can find restaurants, bars, osterie, win bars. Wine and oil you can taste and buy directly from the producer, this for sure is a must during a holiday in Italy. If you like shopping, there are a few outlets and clothing factories that offer direct-sales near to Fano with a good choice of top brand shoes, clothes and bags.
Activities during your stay at Villa Santa Barbara, apart from relaxing at the pool:
-The Monte Catria and the Monte Petrano are the highest mountains of the province and 15km distanced. They are rich of hiking trails that can be enjoyed even during the day when the temperatures climb up to higher degrees. For shorter walks you can just start from your apartment and follow one of the paths that lead into the hills around the villa.
-The famous Furlo Gorge along the Candigliano river is about 10km away. It is a nature reserve with stunning lush nature and amazing views. It is the habitat of the golden eagle.
-The Natural Park of San Bartolo near Pesaro offers marked trails from which you always have an eye on the Adriatic Sea, the paths partly lead over steep cliffs, it is a real natural spectacle. To cool off you can just hike to the next beach and jump into the fresh water
SWIMMING & SUNBATHING:
-Nearby Cagli, there are several swimming sites along the rivers Bosso and Burano. Clear crispy fresh water coming straight down the Monte Nerone, ideal to cool off among a natural spectacle.
-To the Adria sea it takes 45 minutes by car. Ideal for children and elderly are the soft comfortable sand beaches.
-Numerous medieval towns and cities, one on top of each hill, as it is usual in Italian landscape, offer stunning views placed on its hill, tasty traditional food, colorful market, museums and plenty of festivals and cultural events. Worth seeing are smaller medieval towns as Barchi, Fratte Rosa, Modavio or Monterado, but of course also cities as Urbino (30km away), that is the best-preserved Renaissance city in Italy, the birthplace of Raffael and listed as UNESCO World Heritage. On the “must to see list” there is the attractive port city of Fano (45 km) with its typical fish restaurants and the wide, flat sandy or pebble beaches. Cagli, only 6km from Villa Santa Barbara, a medieval town with 10,000 residents and plenty of cafes and little restaurants. Cagli would be your closest option for grocery shopping, you will find a wide selections grocery stores, butchers, fish shops, bakeries, ‘alimentari’ with all sorts of traditional delicatessens.
