It lies at one end of one of London's best riverside venues, Battersea Park, featuring a boating lake, small Zoo and Buddhist pagoda plus acres of prime lying down space. As you walk down Sloane Street you'll notice Cadogan Square on the left hand side, a tree lined garden square surrounded by apartment blocks. Art museum and The Parliament are short walk.

Large apartment on the sixth floor overlooking the Chelsea Bridge and river Thames. Two lifts either side of the block available for the guests to use. Battersea Park and the historical building used as the Battersea power station are on the opposite side of the river. The location is ideal for walking or bicycling for site seeing. Out side the apartment along Grosvenor road there are bicycles for hire and can be left in other location at the destination point. For elderly guests the bus out side the apartment number 24 is ideal transport for site seeing and available every 5 minutes. Shoping for food and groceries are available on the TESCO express 7 days a week and 12 hours per day situated along Lupus street 5 minutes walk.

Notes: This Central London apartment is on the 6th Floor of a block of 9 Floors and two lifts on either side of the block. Front and Back of the apartment have the river view and all rooms and living room also have the view of the river. Bars, shops and restaurants can be found along Lupus Street, in the Moreton Triangle and on Sussex Street and Churton Street. Also a guest from USA recommended that the quality restaurant in No 94 Grosvenor Road and Claverton Street corner called Pomegranates is one of the best in town, by the Tate Britain, the Houses of Parliament, the River Thames and the public St Georges Square are all within walking distance, Batersia Park is across the river 5 minutes walk. Transport is provided by both Pimlico underground station and Victoria mainline and underground stations. Bus route 24 starts every 5 minutes out side the apartment will take you to the heart of city and passes through most tourist attraction spots.

Location & additional attractions: Grosvenor Road starts from Vauxhall Bridge to Chelsea Bridge. The apartment is on the 6th floor of Wilkins house in Central London. You're in the heart of London but away from the crowds! The British Museum is 10 min and Battersia Park is across the river ,West End with its fabulous shopping (Oxford St, Regent St), theatres, art galleries and landmarks (Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, Big Ben) is also close by. Covent Garden with its street theatre, opera house and shopping is an easy walk. Heading east, you can stroll around the City of London, Europe's financial centre with its famous buildings (St Paul's Cathedral, the Gherkin, Tower of London, Wren churches). To the South, the London Eye, Tate Modern and South Bank. For children, the Battersea park, a delightful park with swings, slides, climbing frames, sand pit, a Zoo and astro turf football pitches. Nearest tube stations are Pimlico & Sloane Square.

It is an easy journey from London Heathrow to Grosvenor Road, as the local tube (subway) service runs directly from the airport. It is only a 6 min walk to the apartment from the station. From other London airports (Gatwick, Stansted, Luton or City airports), you can take the train into the centre of London and make a short tube or taxi journey to the apartment. Victorisa station have direct coach service from Stansted airport and about one hour travel.We will send you full directions when you book. We can also arrange for a car to collect you from the airport. Prices start at £45 from Heathrow.

Getting here by rail:

Rail is a fifteen minute walk from the mainline stations, Victoria It is a short bus ride from London Bridge and Waterloo station. Paddington is a tube ride away. If you have any questions about the apartment, the local area or London in general, please get in touch by mail/p

Aussie Tourists

My wife and I are in the older age group and stayed for two weeks in October 2011. The unit is on the 6th floor near the lift; it has two bedrooms, separate kitchen and bathroom and a 2nd toilet; a good sized living area with two sofas and a small dining table; it is light and airy with good views. It is an older building estate, but buildings and grounds are all well maintained. There seems to be generally older aged owner/occupants, so very quiet and safe area. The unit and furniture is older style, but we were surprised how comfortable it was; the beds were extremely comfortable. Had all the appliances you would need, plenty of hot water, central heating, and free broadband connection.
Warren, the owner is affable and helpful and the rental reasonable. We paid one week in advance from Australia by international transfer without any problems. On our arrival he showed us through the flat, and walked around to the shops with us to show us where they were. Pimlico shops are 3 minutes away, and Pimlico Station is about 10 minutes. The number 24 Bus is virtually at the front door and often there are 2 or 3 of these waiting at the Grosvenor Rd stop. The route goes to Pimlico shops and station, the important and huge Victoria Station, and then continues on right past Parliament House, Trafalgar square etc, so it is extremely convenient.
Difficult to be critical, but we found we usually had a long wait near Victoria Station for the 24 Bus in peak hour, but an alternative is the train to Pimlico and wait for the 24 bus in more comfortable surroundings, or walk. There are also emergency vehicle sirens night and day (seems overdone to me), but Grosvenor Road is a busy main road, so I suppose this is reason enough. The sirens seem to be happening all over London, not just here.
Would we stay here again? Absolutely, we actually loved it looked forward with aching feet and legs to the comfort of ‘home’ after long days of sightseeing. The unit may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it suited us and our highly mobile/out every day, sightseeing type of holiday. So, how many out of 10 – an easy 8 from us.

Great Location

Great location plenty of room , clean, really could not ask for more.
The unit has 2 bedrooms and 1 and 1/2 baths a full kitchen with a combo washer dryer and dish washer. Located in Pimloco at the end of the # 24 bus. This bus route offers great access and is probably as fast as the tube and certainly not as hot and stuffy as the tube. Great for a family of 4 or 6

el departamento es comodo, los ambientes grandes, tiene buenas vistas, todos los elementos necesarios, ademas el vecindario es muy seguro inclusive de noche.
a menos de 100 metros pasan varios buses que llevan a los puntos mas importantes para visitar en Londres.
hay muchos negocios para comprar a 200 o 300 metros
el dueño resulto ser muy amable con nostros. La relacion precio/calidad es muy conveniente especialmente en Londres donde el alojamiento es muy caro.

Functional Flat

This flat was good for a family with teenagers with plenty of space. Large kitchen with dishwasher, including a washer/dryer which was important for us to have. The apartment complex didn't have much charm, but very convenient to the bus line and not far from the tube. We were there during a heat wave, so the flat was very warm. Clean and comfortable. Not many restaurants in the neighborhood, but a short bus ride to the Victoria Station area.

Clean but simple, good area

The appartment is clean. The view very nice. It is very basic no paintings on the wall etc. It is not very proffesional restyled, but everything you need is available, tv, dvd, dishwasser etc. The owner waited for us and was very nice and helpfull. All the furniture was fairly new. The beds were very good. The bedlinnen and towels more then plenty. We were there with our three daughters and had a very good stay. Next to the flat is a busstop every five minutes. The subway station Pimlico is a walk off about 8 miutes (800 meter). from here in a few miutes in the city. The neighbourhood is safe also at night. A good stay for a nice price. Tip for the owner: a few ikea paintings on the walls gives the place a more homely look.
