My husband and I recently rented this apartment for 12 nights and we enjoyed it very much. It is large, bright, clean with a spacious and comfortable feel. It is on a quiet street and we were not once bothered by street noise at night. The kitchen is well equipped and seemingly newly renovated - very pleasant and convenient for home cooking. It is situated within an easy and interesting 20-25 minute walk from the Opera and the Ringstrasse, and passes through, or beside, the wonderful Nasch Market. We(elderly couple) visited Vienna for the first time.We opted for a vacation rental instead of the pricey hotel rooms.In selecting the apartment my eye caught the picture of the view from the bedroom window into the backyard and the unique wall decoration in the diningroom area.The green wall in the bedroom seems to reflect the wall covered with ivy of the neighboring building. Such serenity.The kitchen was a convenient place to prepare food: dishes, pots and pants, even packaged groceries ( coffee, pasta rice, soups etc) and condiment within reach.Strolling up Kohlgasse within 3 blocks there is a grocery store (Billa) and several restaurants.We did not eat there because these restaurants did not have smoke free premises typically for Austria.On the website www.da.stinkts.net I located several non smoking restaurants in Vienna ( Maredo at Karlsplatz, Wiener Wald at Palais Auersperg, Cafe Aida at Stephans Dom). Marisas apartment is a non-smoking rental. Thanks. Leaving the apartment complex and turning left you will reach Reinprechtsdorfer Strasse. One and a half block to the right there is the bus stop 14A.The bus takes you to the U4. 2 more stops and you are at Karlsplatz.To learn to navigate the public transportation system was important for us because we arrived at Westbahnhof by train. Recommendation: buy the weekly ticket and you can go throughout the city for 16 Euro per person. We inundated ourselves with music: La Traviata, Mozarts Requiem, Wiener Boys Choir, Wiener Residenzorchester, Lippizaner at Spanish Riding School. Don't miss Hundertwasser House. Very unique. Vienna is truely a world city. The manager of the apartment greeted us upon arrival, introduced us to the amenities, showed us the maps and brochures, was very friendly and helpful. Best of all: Free wi-fi, functioning well.Since we just scratched the surface in terms of sightseeing we will be back and rent the apartment again. The City Trip Centre is truely a home away from home. We would recommend this property to friends and relatives for sure.
We (older couple) spent Xmas and new year in Vienna (2 weeks). Wonderful city especially in that time of the year. The accommodation we rented was great. It is is located centrally to all main public transport in a quiet street. The place is very well equipped and homely decorated. All you could imagine needing for a stay is present and more. A peaceful and pleasant place to stay. All the promises in the description of the apartment are living up to expectations.
I would highly recommend this apartment for people that are looking for a place to stay during a longer period and appreciate the calm of the suburbs.
I spent one month in this apartment, with my wife and two kids. One of the reasons why we all enjoyed our stay in Vienna is this excellent apartment.
Apartment is spacy, very comfortable. We all felt as at home. It was spotlessly clean, and there was enough cleaning supplies for the whole month. All amenities were functional, kitchen fully equipped (almost better then my own at my home), with packs of Barilla pasta, Uncle Ben`s rise, olive oil, coffee, tea, sugar, flower,... Wi-fi is fast, there is computer with internet, and nice books about Vienna and Austria.
The pictures on the web are 100% realistic.
It is located in a quiet side street, but only 50 meters away from the main district street. Bus station leading to nearby Mariahilferstrasse and Opera is just around the corner, two minutes away. U-Bahn is just 5 minutes walk away from this address. Several grocery shops, dry cleaner, bakery, gas station, public garage, that is all within five minutes walk.
Lady Marisa, the owner, was highly helpful. DVD player malfunctioned during our stay, and she brought the following morning replacement unit from her home.
I would, without any reservation, recommend this property. I myself wanted to book it again few more times, but unfortunately it was already booked. It will always be my first option whenever I travel to Vienna.
Great apartment. This apartment was very well equipped and clean. Reasonably priced parking was available close by. The apartment was bright and well situated, 2 blocks away from a bus line that takes you directly Karlplatz, centre of Vienna. We were greeted by the owner, Marisa, who was very helpful. Apartment is situated in an area where restaurants and supermarkets are numerous. We recommend this apartment.
This is a lovely flat, well equiped and located. It's two minutes walk up to a square with cafes and supermarkets and maybe 6 from the nearest underground station. The owner is very considerate, with maps showing things like where you can buy food on a Sunday and she had left us a starter pack, since we were ariving after shops shut on the Saturday. Broadband was excellent. The only downside was lack of air-conditioning; fortunately our week fell between two really hot ones

PARKING: the center districts of Vienna are short parking area between Monday - Friday, between 7am-10pm - but you can PARK your car for FREE in the streets in a distance of approx. 600m (outside of the zone).
