The beautiful old house is wood paneled throughout and furnishings very comfortable with original old (farmers). Manifold Accessories (old toys, original pictures) and well-stocked bookshelves, which leave no reader desire to give it a very distinctive, unique charm. To disturb the not (zer), there are no ugly shower stalls in the rooms, only sink and otherwise 3 well appointed bathrooms. In my house you will find: peace, space, exquisite furnishings, unique atmosphere!

What you will not find: bathrooms in the rooms (so), technological gadgets of all kinds, functional technology of the 21st Century (TV, phone, fax, etc. in all rooms) .As tribute to the modern times, there are of course free WiFi and a large flat screen TV with DVD player!

The landline phone is available for incoming calls (outgoing blocked). Cheap: Call by call from Deutschl.

Facilities: Ground floor: 3 BR, two Doppelzi, a 3 bed-room, (room with washbasin) kl.... Kitchen, bathroom / WC, washing machine.

1st floor: 2 Doppelzi. (Zi. With sink), living room. with fireplace, central well equipped kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, etc.), bathroom (with bath), gr. wraparound balcony

Upper floor: 2 kl. Double rooms, nice in the middle of large living room with (double) bed (1.40m), kitchen / Esszeile, bathroom / WC

On the mezzanines:

Best restaurant for miles around (two 'hoods' in the Rest.-leaders!): Hotel Adler in St. G.

. Solid Austrian cuisine with my friend and neighbor Ewald Tschanhenz the hotel Vermala (50m), which is an expert in matters Paragliding: multiple European champion! In addition, Mayor of St. G. and surrounding communities and accessor on the best blueberry schnapps West Austria! In the season has opened his bar until the last go (very cozy!)

personal recommendation: Everything that has to do with sports (equipment): Harry (opposite the Hotel Adler, above) is the best! Quality, price, service, - for many years he gets from my guests (and me!) Top marks!

Last note: I urge you to understand that both check-in check-out as a mandatory home inspection with my property manager Giovanni takes place which is my right hand on the ground. He has any authority to regulate any damage with those responsible in my mind. Completely ruled out without a consensual contact with him, be it ever justified as early or with any emergencies!

This was our third stay in Axel's house and we all were fully satisfied. The house has it's soul and spending "apres ski" time is as pleasent as skiing itself.
Nice, big rooms , each one with own character, plenty of books (owner is an exhibitor) simply magic. I recommend for group of friends , families (grandparents and grandchildreen incl.)
If you come to this house you will fall in love with it. Besides there are beautifull surroudings and perfect ski arena with many ski routs for skilled and beginners.

Wohnen bei Freunden

Das Haus ist bezaubernd! Man kommt sich vor, als wäre man bei einem guten Freund zu Besuch, der kurz weg ist, und einem schon mal den Schlüssel gegeben hat. Wir haben uns richtig über den einen Regentag gefreut, an dem wir zuhause bleiben und lesen, spielen und ausruhen konnten. Dabei gibt es schöne Ausflugsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe.

Das Haus hat Atmosphäre

Ein rundum empfehlenswertes Haus für größere Gruppen. Wir waren zum zweiten Mal mit einer Gruppe von 10 Personen (plus Hund) im Haus und waren erneut begeistert. Schon von außen wirkt es urgemütlich, was sich innen bestätigt. Die ganze Einrichtung und die vielen im gesamten Haus verteilten Bücher geben ihm eine ganz besondere Atmosphäre. Es ist ruhig aber verkehrsgünstig gelegen und man man aus den meisten Räumen einen schönen Blick auf die umliegenden Berge.
Wandertouren sind von Haus aus möglich. Außerdem lassen sich nach kurzer Anfahrt zahlreiche Seilbahnen oder die Silvretta-Hochalpenstraße erreichen, die einen Tourbeginn in größerer Hohe zulassen.
Angenehm ist auch die Möglichkeit, am Haus zu grillen. Man sitzt auf einer urigen Bankgarnitur und kann den Abend nach einer Bergwanderung gemütlich ausklingen lassen.

Haus Hundsdörfer macht süchtig....

Ein wunderschönes, mit Charme, Stil, Geschmack und Liebe eingerichtetes altes Motafoner Bauernhaus, in dem man sich nicht nur nach aktivem Tagesprogramm wohlfühlt.
Gerne möchte man auch mal einen Faulenzertag in diesem Haus mit seinen liebreizend gestalteten Räumen verbringen, im Wohn- und Esszimmer sitzen, den Blick ins Tal oder in die Berge schweifen lassen, sich in der Zeitung oder in einem der vielen in den Bücheregalen vorhandenen "Lese-Schätzen" verlieren.
In kleinerer Runde in der gemütlichen Küche das Essen für 15 Menschen zu "produzieren" kann durchaus Spass machen, findet man doch nahezu alle nötigen Kochutensilien, nebst ausreichend Geschirr, Kochbücher, usw. Das gemeinsame Essen am großen, alten Montafoner kann schnell zum gemütlichen Gelage werden, die Eckbank am alten Ofen, das Sofa, die Sessel und überhaupt die Einrichtung der "Guten Stube" halten oft vom Auf- oder Abbruch ab.

Aber auch der Rückzug in die behaglichen (Schlaf-)Zimmer ist nicht zu verachten - bequeme Betten und angenehmes Interiör tragen auch dort zu Musestunden und Entspannung bei. Für Gruppen bis zu 15 Menschen ein ideales Feriendomizil - nicht nur im Winter! Nach einer vergleichbare Alternative ließe sich wohl lange suchen.
Ein großes Dankeschön an den Vermieter, der es es nicht scheute, auch wertvolle (Einrichtungs-) Gegenstände, Bilder, Bücher im Haus zu belassen, könnte sich doch schnell für das eine oder andere ein neuerLiebhaber finden. Vertrauen schafft Athmosphäre - wir hoffen, es kann so noch lange bleiben.

Haus mit ganz besonderer Atmoshäre

In diesem Haus haben wir im kleinerem und im größerem Familien- und Freundeskreis schon etliche Sommerurlaube und Skiferien verbracht.
Die Kinder waren 5 und 6 Jahre alt, als wir zum ersten Mal in´s Montafon fuhren und haben ungelogen jeden Tag eine Wanderung gemacht. Meistens mit einer der zahlreichen schönen, alten oder modernen Gondelbahnen hoch in die Berge und ab dort bieten sich verschiedenste Touren in herrlicher Natur an.
Im August konnten wir manchmal in Heidelbeeren „baden“ oder sind dem Pilz-Such-Rausch erlegen. Pfifferlinge und Steinpilze gab es in einigen Jahren zu Hauf.
Am schönsten war es, wenn wir es schafften, beizeiten morgens das Haus zu verlassen und die Tour am frühen Nachmittag beendet zu haben. Dann besuchten wir noch das „Mountain Beach“ in Gaschurn, der Name täuscht etwas, denn es ist weniger ein lautes Spaßbad, als vielmehr ein äußerst idyllisch angelegtes Naturbad mit viel Holz und sehr angenehmer Atmosphäre.
War das Wetter mal nicht optimal, so waren wir trotzdem glücklich.
Das Haus ist eine Augenweide. Mit dem vielen Holz, den unzähligen Büchern in jedem (!) Zimmer, den wunderbaren Montafoner Tischen und der sehr behaglichen Einrichtung haben wir immer gern auch die Zeit im Haus genossen. Die Schlafzimmer sind eigentlich Wohn-/Schlafzimmer, in denen man sich sehr gut mal zurückziehen kann und die reichlich Platz bieten. Die Küche ist schön groß und es ist alles da, was Leute wie wir, die gerne kochen, so brauchen.
Auch der Hausbetreuer vor Ort hat uns sehr gut unterstürtzt, wenn´s mal nötig war.
Wir kommen immer wieder gerne in´s Montafon, auch noch die inzwischen jugendlichen Kinder. Danke, Herr Hausbesitzer.

The house is surrounded by meadows, in a loose scattered settlement on the slightly raised northern side of the Montafon valley floor, half-way between St. Gallen and the church and the village of Gortipohl.

The valley station of the chairlift Garfrescha (the oldest of three tributaries to the huge ski area Silvretta Nova) is located in a gentle downward slope about 350m away (with good snow conditions ski from the house and go directly to the base station). The two fast gondolas St. Gallen Kirch or gas Churn are about 2km or 3km away (a few Minunten by car). To Hochjochbahn in Schruns and Golm train in Tschagguns by car about 10 minutes (from December 2011 new gondola lift to Hochjochmassiv from the valley of St. Gallen Kirch, skiers can then use the two most attractive ski areas in the Montafon in one day connect car lot). During the season, run quickly shuttle buses btw. The div. Valley. Great fun, especially for children: during the ski season is the Garfrescha lift several times a week until 22:00 for tobogganing (sled in the house) in operation, to the complete departure from the Garfrescha hill station lighted up the valley (beautiful ! sight from the balcony of the house) Attention skiers: a few minutes to groomed on the valley floor, many kilometers long trail! The panoramic mountain scenery in all directions beautifully and with the almost 3000m high Vallüla, which forms the dramatic end of the valley to the east, particularly impressive. For non-skiers there are starting at the front door lots of opportunities for walks, z. B. to a waterfall (20min) forming fabulous ice sculptures on cold days and fabulous photo opportunity, on the valley floor of the river Ill along a Wildschweingehege, via the so-called meadow path to St. Gallen church, - it is not boring! In the car you are in a quarter of an hour on the Bartholomew mountain high above the main town of Schruns (best shopping, - Hemingway fell in love in the twenties in the pretty town and skifahrend and write whole months spent there). On sunny days the Bartholomäberg, with its flat paths and the longest hours of sunshine throughout the Montafon Valley offers ideal for easy walks, stunning views over the wide spread valley and the opposite crags of Raetikon or Hochjoch. After a lovely walk you then holds retreats in the traditional Gasthof 'mill' and can be an original Montafon barley soup taste (supposedly the best in the valley ...). Or the homemade apple pie, no less famous! In winter only be reached by train from partenen is the Bielerhoehe (Silvretta Lake) since the Silvretta High Alpine Road is closed (highly recommended, before the ride is exciting: after a ride on the cable car you go with a special minibus for minutes in whizzing driving through a very narrow tunnel, before you can go back to the lower of the two reservoirs into the open - Beware of a tendency to claustrophobia) Now for the summer: a whole (migrant) life will not be sufficient to exploit the wealth of opportunities which alone provides the Montafon, from the neighboring valleys (Kloster, Paznauntal, Great Walser Valley) and other scenic or urban highlights to mention (near the Bodensee -. example keywords Bregenz Festival, Island City Lindau--, near the Arlberg and the behind quickly achievable Innsbruck, the location just behind Feldkirch Principality of Liechtenstein with its unique Art Museum, the beautiful, historic Feldkirch with its typical colonnades, etc., etc..). The ultimate goal of all well-trained and walk-on migratory birds is of course always the nearby Piz Buin, where veritable mountain climbing here comes into play and, not least, having vast stocks of sunscreen same name belong to the backpack! Large selection of swimming pools in the premium class in the immediate vicinity (eg. B. 'Mountain Beach gas Churn', with slides, pools, beach volleyball court, etc.). Gorgeous mountain lakes in the high valleys around! On hot days, a true refreshment: the circular eroded basin of the aforementioned, 20min distant waterfall. Who it's too exhausting to seek after sunbathing and swimming in the beautiful garden or on the div. Terraces and balconies to refreshment purposes there, alternatively takes the garden hose on hand (pool plans wg. Unfavorable topographic conditions for the time being on ice).

  • All rooms except one (the first floor, directly opposite the bath) feature a washbasin with hot and cold water. On the mezzanines there are two separate toilets. The kitchens rarely used in the EC and upstairs are sufficient, the central kitchen on the 1st floor on the other hand is equipped üppigst (comes from the fact that the house is almost exclusively populated by groups who attach importance to common meals value). For the vast majority of my long-time guests with its nearly five hundred year old table the central kitchen is the center of conviviality. Especially nice to the adjacent balcony, if not prevail extreme low temperatures, ideal filing or storage place for food.

A collapsible aluminum table tennis is on the rear paved terrace (rackets, balls in the shed next door). In all rooms / living rooms there is a wide selection of books for every taste and every age, - please Reset before leaving the shelves! There are in total 6 parking spaces (4 in front of the house / garage, 2 directly opposite.), - If a 7 is required, please seek public car park, park in any event before the neighboring properties! The garage is used for storage (skis, sledges, garden equipment, luggage etc.) and for waste-sorting. Two slides are there for the guests. In the hallway to the garage, next to the staircase is plenty of space for ski boots (so please never into the house or the room!) In the first mezzanine standing beside the hint.
