2 Bedroom ground floor apartment attached to large villa in the select residential area of Santa Ana, which lies on the entrance to Mahon Harbour. 5 minutes from Cala Fons picturesque harbour with wide variety of excellent restaurants and the town centre of Es Castell which is served with shops, banks, post office, chemist and numerous supermarkets etc. Mahon, the capital of Menorca is some 3 miles from Santa Ana . During the season there is a half-hourly bus service.

Apartment: The apartment is completely self contained, tastefully and comfortably furnished and well equipped. It comprises:- 2 Double Bedrooms both full size double rooms. One has a double bed, the other 2 singles. Both have large fitted wardrobes with ample hanging space and shelves. The front door to the apartment leads to a L-shaped lounge/dining area - Including T.V, with Satellite DVD player for those wishing to bring their own DVD´S. Assortment of games for children and adults. Plus air conditioning in lounge area. Ample sized bathroom with bath, shower, hand-basin & toilet. There is a large swimming pool with extensive patios, with plenty of sunbeds, table and chairs,barbecue and outside toilet and shower. Included is a Complimentary Welcome food pack and mid week cleaning (14 days).

Great apartment in a lovely location

We would definately recommend this property. The apartment was lovely, very clean and well looked after, it had everything we needed (and more) and the owner Linda was really friendly and approachable. The apartment is five minutes walk from a harbour with some great restaurants, Cafe Irene (at the top) was excellent and very good value. There is also a small town Es Castell, again five minutes away with shops and more restaurants. That was our first holiday with our nine month old baby daughter and we had a great time and hope to go back.
Owner's Response: A good review makes everything so worthwhile. Return visits are always more than welcome and encouraging. We know what we like and expect from our holidays and hopefully this is what we offer.

A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

We rented this apartment for two weeks in September 2009. The apartment was spotlessly clean and contained everything that you could wish for. Although we only tend to have a light breakfast and the occasional lunch in the apartment, for families wanting to cook then everthing is there - cooker, toaster, coffee maker, fridge freezer, all the pots and pans you could wish for etc, etc.
The apartment is set in a quiet, mainly residential area and is a short walk from the harbour area of Es Castell with all of its bars and restaurants. Whilst there is no beach in Es Castell beaches are a short drive away for those that choose to hire a car. A good bus service also operates from Es Castell to Mahon where you can take other buses to various other parts of the island.
John and Linda, mine hosts, are a lovely couple who were most helpful during our stay but not at all intrusive.
The outdoor swimming pool was fitted with a cover during our stay mainly because the weather tends to be cooler in the autumn. This kept the water temperature just right for a early morning or evening swim.
I would recommend this apartment to anyone who wants a quiet, peaceful holiday with the opportunity to travel around the island.

Wonderful!

We have just returned from our third visit to this great apartment and we would fully recommend a stay here. There is always a very warm welcome from owners Linda and John, who are always happy to help with advice and recommendations but are never intrusive. The apartment is very clean and well looked after, and the kitchen is very well equipped for those who prefer to cook. It is also wonderful having such a fabulous pool and spacious terraces all to yourselves. A car is really not necessary as there are two good supermarkets, greengrocer, butcher, baker, chemist and many restaurants within five or ten minutes walk. Cala Fonts picturesque harbour is a few minutes walk away with some great restaurants, There is also a small rocky beach 2 minutes walk away which is great for kids to explore the rock pools. Other beaches can easily be reached on the local buses by changing in Mahon. This apartment has everything you could possibly need for a wonderful relaxing holiday (including Sky TV!)

Yet another splendid holiday-same time, same place 2007, Peter, Jane & Ann. Yet another lovely holiday, our sixth here in Santa Ana, see you next year Peter & Norah. This apartment was a real home from home. Situated within walking distance to the harbour at Cala Fons, it provided an ideal location. The facilities at the apartment, including the pool and barbecue area were excellent. Ideal for families or a quiet break. I look forward to our return. Frank, Nicole & family.
