La Cavetta is a villa with a breath-taking swimming pool, located only 35 Km from Rome and 5 Km from Trevignano town in a splendid position on a hill that overlooks Lake Bracciano. From here you can easily reach all the interesting sites of the area: Rome and the Vatican City, Cerveteri, Sutri , Viterbo, Tarquinia, Caprarola, the hills of Tolfa and other attractive places such as the beautiful beaches north of Rome or Umbria and Tuscany. Indaco and Porpora are our two independent open-space apartments. They are very elegantly furnished and every single detail was studied to meet our guests' needs. They can be communicating from inside and therefore rented together. Oliver is a very cosy double-bed room with a terrace facing the lake. You will immediately feel at home and appreciate the quietness of our place while relaxing in the pool or drinking a glass of wine waiting for your steak to be grilled on the BBQ. A/C available in all rooms, fitness area available. Total sleeps: 8/10

Porpora apartment is the perfect setting for a very romantic stay! It is elegantly furnished and the leading colour is red. Its ancient stone floors are almost unique. The living area has two spare beds and a fully-equipped kitchenette facing the blossoming patio. The night area has an old double bed which belonged to a nobleman of the past century. The bathroom has a very large and comfortable shower. Air conditioning, Sat pay TV, DVD player and a minibar are at our guests' disposal. Outside, a shadowed patio facing the barbecue and the pool where to enjoy the quietness of our place!

Trevignano Romano is a delightful small town which, together with Bracciano and Anguillara, overlooks the clean and transparent waters of lake Bracciano. Founded on a lavic rock, Trevignano is built on the northern side of the lake in a small bay formed by a secondary crater of an ancient volcano. Because of its position the climate is temperate and the whole area is exposed to the sun all day long. Enjoy the sandy beaches and the warm and clean water of the lake! You can also spend some time pleasantly walking around the small medieval borgo before relaxing in one of the many bars and restaurants Trevignano offers along the lake. For those of you who like sports, you can take lessons of sailing, windsurfing or canoeing, play tennis or golf, go riding or try paragliding. Also, at a short distance from our place you can enjoy two ancient spa: the 'Terme dei Papi' in Viterbo and the 'Terme di Stigliano' of Canale Monterano, a village with an interesting archaelogical site.

Location is excellent for excursions to Rome and all the lovely villages
nearby.
La Cavetta is placed in lovely , quiet surroundings. Excellent for taking a
walk and taking in the view. Very nice and caring hosts.

La Cavetta Guest House is definitely worth a visit. The guest house is
very nice and cozy decorated. With a sunny terrace and swimming pool.
You feel home at once. The scenery is gorgeously peaceful. It almost
makes you hesitant to explore the surroundings, which are equally worth
a visit. And although Rome is an appealing city and is just a small hour
distance from La Cavetta, there will be time too short to do all as the
guesthouse and its facilities will make you very lazy. So, although we
stayed only a couple of days it's more than worthwhile to stay longer.

Two weeks in La Cavetta - July 2009

A nice and quiet place for a relaxing holiday or to see the sights of Rome (45 min. by car). We booked the 3 appts for 2 weeks in july 2009 for 2 couples together with 5 children (age 10 - 14). The children enjoyed the large swimming pool, garden and played everyday with the friendly owner's dog. The nearest villages are about 7 km away. We also appreciated the welcome pack and the friendly and informative hosts who spoke fluent English and French. We recommend this Guest House and we would not hesitate to book again.

A perfect place for a short stay, whether you wish to enjoy a quiet, relaxing break or see the sights of Rome. The children really enjoyed the large swimming pool, garden and playing on the swings. With a late arrival, we particularly appreciated the welcome pack with all essentials and a few luxuries! Charming, friendly and informative hosts who spoke perfect English. A good selection of restaurants in nearby Trevignano Romano and Bracciano. Would not hesitate to book again.
