At the beach of San Vito lo Capo, visitors can explore the beach and its little red and pink coral pieces, which are considered a highlight of this location. A cous cous festival is held every year in September, enabling residents and tourists to feast on the best cous cous in all of Italy. During the festival the small town celebrates their local Sicilian specialities, which are available for purchase at small produce stalls. There is no menu in the small quaint restaurants, because the menu changes according to the catch of the day, this means guests are always guaranteed the freshest food. The beautiful beaches surrounding Sicily are famous for their crystal clear waters and soft fine sand. However, San Vito has more to offer that their beautiful beaches. Within the region are old tuna factories, which display their traditional fishing techniques. Scopello is a tiny village close to San Vito Lo Capo, which is surrounded by Oleander bushes and contains Zingaro Nature reserve.
