Photos and Description of the Banyoles vacation rental Secluded private first floor self contained self catering accommodation

Your holiday accommodation is on the first floor of a 200 year old farmhouse with your own entrance and patio. We are 3km from the village of Crespia on the river Fluvia 10km from Banyoles. It consists of three bedrooms that can sleep up to 10, kitchen, lounge, shower and toilet. Ideal for groups or families who like the outdoors and nature in general i.e walking, cycling, fishing etc. There is everything you will need for a self catering holiday but we also provide a selection of themed meals i.e curry, fish, tapas, paella. see our web site for further details. Although the house is very rural and secluded within a 15min drive, there are many restaurants serving good local food and wine, 3 or 4 swimming pools (summer months only), tennis courts, horse riding and golf. The nearest beach is just a 30min drive away. Here on site we provide free of charge badminton, table tennis and fishing equipment along with 6 or 7 mountain bikes.

Nearest Airport: Girona/Barcelona at 30 Kilometres
Nearest Train: Girona/Figueres at 25 Kilometres
Nearest Motorway: A7 junc 6 from airport at 20 Kilometres
Nearest Beach: beach at 30.0 Kilometres
Car: recommended
Although we are in a secluded rural setting we are only 30mins drive from Girona airport. Ryanair offer cheap flights from 15 or 16 UK airports and from many other european destinations. There are also 5 or 6 car hire companies at the airport. We can arrange transfers if needed, transfers are free of charge by arrangement to and from Girona for stays of 5 days or more. The seaside resort of Roses, Emporabrava and Estartit are about 30mins drive. If you want to see the real Spain you should visit Girona on a saturday morning when the bustling market is in full swing, or the lake at Banyoles where you can take boat trips. You may also want to visit the medieval fortress town of Besalu. Just 20k away is the second most visited museum in all of Spain, the Darli Museum in Figueres. If you want to travel further afield its a short cheap train ride to Barcelona, this is far better than taking the car. If you prefer peace and quiet you have no need to leave the forest if you don't want to.

FISHING: We have two or three fishing rods that you can use but they are only of a low quality and the more serious fishermen may want to bring their own. Ryanair charge for sports equipment. The river is stocked with large wild carp among other things. You will also need a fishing permit that costs about €30 and lasts for one year. There are fishing tackle shops within a 15 to 20 min drive.

MOUNTAIN BIKES: We also have 6 or 7 mountain bikes for use should you wish but they are not for the professional rider so you may wish to bring your own. Check with Ryanair as they only allow so many per flight.

GERENAL: We do provide tennis rackets and balls, footballs, badminton and table tennis for your use. For the less energetic we have various boardgames, cards, dominos and chess we also have a well stocked bookcase along with TV but due to our location we only receive a few English channels, however to compensate we have plenty of DVDs. If you are finding it difficult to reach us by telephone please text us and we will call you back, due to our location reception can be fickle.
