County Donegal Vacation Rental bungalow: Bunaman, Annagry

This 'Lovely Lakeside bungalow' certainly lives up to it's description and was located in an area which enabled us to visit with ease all the places we whished to see.This was not our first trip to Donegal, so we had some experience of the local road layout and the short cuts that can save time/ miles/ kilometers off a journey, for instance if you want to journey to Dungloe continue up the road past the bungalow to the junction just past 'the bridge' and turn left continuing along this sometimes very narrow road you will meet the Dungloe road (saving many miles) whilst allowing an excursion through moorland scenery. By the way the bridge used to cross over the narrow guage railway that used to run between Letterkenny and beyond to Burtonport. (See the book written by the bungalow owners brother 'That Old Sinner' by Frank xxxxxxx, available in local book shops...and no I'm not on commission)
Perhaps I'm preaching to the converted... but if you've not previously benefited from the 'Donegal Experience' beware the natives are really friendly and in our experience as equally helpful... oh by the way the Guiness is quite good too.The fishing in this area is excellent... even if you have to put the Salmon back. This year I spent a most enjoyable day wet fly fishing from a boat on one of the local lochs. The local resturants are excellent and cater for most tastes and pockets
We would certainly recomend this holiday home to anyone.
