Outstanding holiday accommodation

Dick and Bev Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
Review Submitted: July 23, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
We needed a house for the whole family, as we were to be attending a wedding in nearby Beaulieu. Rudbeckia proved to be far more than we had hoped! It was spacious, well furnished and well supplied with all appliances, chinaware, glassware, etc. There were even books and games for the children. Everything was in excellent condition. The new conservatory at the back of the house (not shown in the website details) was a delight, and was where we ate most of our meals. The garden was beautiful and extremely well maintained. We had a small family re-union during our stay, and as the weather was good the garden furniture was greatly appreciated. There is a supermarket just minutes away, as well as several take-out restaurants. There are many places to visit and things to do in the area. Lyndhurst and Lymington are especially delightful, and there are attractions for all the family, including the world famous motor museum at Beaulieu, and Longdown Farm where the little ones could feed a calf, pet a goat, and bounce on a trampoline. The New Forest, just minutes away, is full of interesting sights for a family, including ponies, cows and deer right at the roadside. The New Forest Centre in Lyndhurst is well worth a visit by the adults and older children in the family.
We were all delighted with our stay at Rudbeckia, and would not hesitate to recommend this excellent accommodation to any family looking for a country holiday with all the conveniences of the city!

Lovely autumn break

Review Submitted: November 14, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
We had an enjoyable half-term week; the house is very spacious and perfect for young children as there are plenty of different areas for everyone to spread out in. We loved the large kitchen (very well equipped) and spent lots of time sitting round the huge table. The garden was pretty and well maintained with good views from the lovely, bright conservatory. Highlights in the area for children were the mini train and ferry from Hythe to Southampton, Exbury Gardens (another train) and the Otter sanctuary (not just otters but wild boar, butterfly house and wallabies).

well located house for family group

The Shrews Market Harborough
Review Submitted: July 17, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
The house is on the outskirts of the village with useful local shops.larger supermarkets are only a short distance away.We had good weather but, had the weather been poor, there were many places and attractions within easy reach.Between us we visited Bournemouth, Beaulieu, Hythe, Lymington, Brockenhurst, Calshot, Lyndhurst and Lepe. We thought about taking the ferry to the Isle of Wight, but ran out of time. There's a lot more we'd like to do.

The house was equipped with everything we could need- plenty of crockery, cutlery, glassware, games, CDs and books. We particularly liked the new conservatory and used it, and the patio, for most meals. The large garden was very well kept and safe for small children.

We are definitely considering a return visit. This year the children were too young to appreciate some of the other attractions on offer.

We had a fabulous week in this property, helped by very sunny weather. It is a great location, within a short distance of lots of good things to do, both with and without children. The property is spacious with everything you require and has a large enclosed garden which is perfect for the children to play in. Definitely on our list of places we might return to.

Enjoyable autumn half term near the new Forest

helade Oxfordshire
Review Submitted: November 5, 2008 Date of Stay: October 2008
This house is very comfortable and well equipped.
It is very spacious and great for children, our 4 were very relaxed and happy here, because of the 5 large bedrooms it works well for 2 families to share.
We had a great week, especially the visits to the new Forest which is a very short drive away and was beautiful at this time of year.
There was lots to do that we didn't get to so we hope to return and enjoy the house again.
