This is a three-bedroom townhouse built in 1854 in the centre of Camden Lock, London. Camden Lock is one of London's premier tourist attractions with around 100,000 visitors each day and has 5 vibrant markets, nightclubs, restaurants, and bars.

The property is within ten minutes of London's famous 'West End', 'Oxford Street', 'Regent's Street', and in close vicinity of London's other major tourist attractions and Grand lodge of England.

Camden Town is only one mile away from London's train terminal St Pancras and Eurostar (2hrs 15 mins to Paris, 1hr 51 mins to Brussels and 1hr 51mins to Lille).

The property has 3 bedrooms. 2 bedrooms have one double bed and one single. One bedroom has one double bed (if required there are blow up beds available for this bedroom). Blow up beds will be charged at an extra cost per person, per night if the number is above 7 people. Please ensure that you enquire before booking. Hi, my name is Michael Brittain. I have been a Carpenter/Clerk of Works all my working life and a Past master in freemasonary . My lovely wife Joan is a House Plant Manager in a Garden Centre. Joan is in charge of all the booking's for Camden Holiday Lets. Over the last 7 years I have renovated the entire house. More improvements are in the planning stage.

Joan & Michael purchased this townhome in 1970

The house, built in 1854, has been in my family since 1900. It was in very poor condition when I bought it from my uncle but I could see that it had great potential as a place for visitors to enjoy Camden Lock and London.

Although it is in the centre of one of London's main attractions, it is a very quiet house with all amenities. It is 300 yards to the Bus Stop and 5 minutes to the 'Tube' - (London Underground trains). We have not had one guest that has been disappointed in the 4 years that we have operated.

A delightful holiday!

We have just returned from a lovely stay in Camden and I must say we were all dragging our feet, not wanting to leave, when we departed. Michael was warm and welcoming when we arrived and the house nicely decorated for Christmas with a tree in the lounge and a lovely real pine-y centerpiece on the dining table. There was even a fine welcome basket of wine and chocolates and shortbread cookies. The kitchen was well equipped and perfect for cooking all our holidays meals from goose to ham to leg of lamb.
The location couldn't have been better--Transportation was a snap with regular buses direct to every where yards from the door, a tube stop a short walk in either direction (and on a VERY central route so easy to get places) and interesting things to walk to. Plus there was a well stocked grocery store, Morrisons, that had ever food item imaginable.
The house was very cozy for hanging out during Christmas and we all had a splendid time. I would recommend this house to anyone.

Wonderful property in an ideal location. Just take a quick walk to Morrison's to stock the kitchen, then sit back and enjoy. Location on the Northern Line makes this a single underground train to a majority of attractions. Camden Town is just the right mix of eclectic oddities and civility.

I'm sure you can find a similar rental, but I doubt you will work with a more cooperative and accommodating owner. I've rented a number of VRBO properties and while I've never been disappointed, I've also never been so comfortable working with an owner. Quick, honest responses to questions, research if an answer wasn't immediately known, and genuine concern to ensure a successful visit.

Looking forward to returning when situations align for another visit to London.

Wonderful place to stay!!!!

My family and I just stayed at Joan and Michaels home. It really was the perfect place for us. 4 couches in the living room and a huge table in the kitchen made it possible for all 6 of us to sit and chat, eat breakfast together or watch TV as a family. The kids loved the ping pong table - there is now a push to get one at home! 2 bathrooms with a tub and shower (wonderful shower!) was perfect for 6 - 5 beds (3 doubles and 2 twins) was wonderful for everyone involved! The house is right inbetween 2 Tube stations and the 24 bus picked up/ dropped off right on the corner - so getting around London was super easy! If you are heading to London and want a nice big place - this is it!!! Absolutely perfect! The owners have everything for you and are lovely to work with! Book it now!!! The Ovesen family, Seattle WA

Beautiful home, the pictures really do not do it justice. Joan was there when we arrived and everything was immaculate; the kitchen is newly remodeled and is lovely. The house was completely stocked with anything you could possibly need and we made quite few meals there to save money. Bedrooms were spacious with lots of storage space.

Just as an FYI, Camden is northwest of central London so you are not near the major attractions, but you can take the tube to all of them from the Camden Town station; my only issue with the station was that it was a 4-5 block walk which was difficult for my elderly Dad. Even though Camden itself is off the beaten path, it is a very young, hip area with a lot of great shopping, pubs and restaurants. So overall it was a great trip and the house was a true home away from home. Thanks to Joan for being such a great hostess!

Great Rental in Camden Town

My family stayed at this great rental while we were in London for the Paralympics. I don't have one negative thing to say, it was perfect. The 3 story home has plenty of space and fit 6 adults and a baby perfectly.
Joan and Michael were nothing short of amazing, even buying a new highchair for our daughter. They were equipped with baby stuff i.e.. cot and baby monitor making it easier on us.
The tube and overhead train stations are a short walk and took us everywhere we needed to go. There are a handful of restaurants, bars and grocery stores nearby making food options super easy. Not to mention the famous Camden Lock market is at the end of the road, tons of fun things to see, eat and buy!
I would definitely recommend this rental to anyone visiting London!
