A perfect retreat for the discerning golfer, or just a great place to relax and enjoy the natural sights and sounds of Cyprus, Villa Omorphi Thea offers a great, all-year round, mix of location and facilities for either a group of golfing friends or the perfect family break. Constructed on two levels, the ground floor offers a spacious, open-plan living and dining area, with a traditional fireplace to complement the air-conditioning/heating fitted throughout. A well-equipped kitchen provides all that the indoor chef could want, while a choice of gas or traditional charcoal BBQs offers the outdoor alternatives. A choice of games, CDs and DVDs (or books) is provided - should you forget... or the satellite choices do not come up to the mark. All bedrooms are fitted in pine and the master bedroom balcony overlooks the pool and provides the ideal vantage point to compare the colour of a brandy sour with that of the sun, as it sets over the Mediterranean Sea.

Secret Valley contains one of the best established golf courses in Cyprus. The modern clubhouse is fitted to a luxurious standard and contains an excellent restaurant - perfectly complimenting a choice of local tavernas. Health spa and other leisure facilities are easily reached, at the neighbouring Aphrodite Hills golf complex. The nearby historic port town of Paphos contains excellent shopping, restaurant and beach sports facilities, including water skiing, parascending, snorkeling and diving. For the historian, Paphos also houses some of the best Roman mosaics in the eastern Mediterranean while, to the east, at Curium, is the remains of a large Roman town - complete with amphitheatre and chariot race track. For those who want to get away from the heat of the coast, the Troodos mountain range offers great walks, views, vineyards and a wide choice of restaurants. Further afield, it is now relatively easy to travel to the Turkish northern part of the Island.

  • All bathrooms are fully tiled and contain a large mirror, toilet and sink. The main bathroom contains a bath, with shower, while the master bedroom en-suite has a shower cubicle. All hot water is provided by solar heating, with an immersion backup (please do not leave on!). Water pressure is kept even through the use of a water pump - switches for the immersion and water pump are clearly marked and may be found on the upstairs hallway wall.

  • All bedrooms are fitted with pine furniture - queen-sized beds in the two rooms to the rear of the villa and large, singles in the front bedroom. The master bedroom has en-suite facilities and a rattan-furnished balcony (overlooking the rear garden, patio and pool), while the other bedrooms share the main bathroom. All bedrooms have fitted double wardrobes, with drawer space inside. The master bedroom contains a hair drier and all have used clothes/linen baskets. Additional bedding (duvets, sheets and pillowcases), if required, is provided in each bedroom. Pool towels are stored in the blanket box in the second bedroom.

Notes: Although the house in on two levels and may not be suitable for the infirm, it is entirely suitable for the fit elderly person. The swimming pool is accessed by steps and has a generous shallow end - making it ideal for young children or non-swimmers. The pool and garden are fully maintained and the house is managed by a local British couple.
