Lovely country villa with private pool. Full outside BBQ with kitchen. Facing south with large terraces, solarium, utility room and porch. A chimney in the living room, comfortable furniture, full equipped inside kitchen and dinning table for six people. The BBQ beside the pool and a nice porch to spend hours and hours at the sunshine or at the shadow. A/C in two bedrooms to assure a fine siesta in the warmer months. Two bathrooms. Sea and mountain views. Private parking for several cars. Everything you may need to enjoy a romantic holiday, disconnecting from civilization but with the advantages of it. Only 5 minutes drive to Nerja.

Exit 292 in the A7 (N340) heading Nerja. In the third roundabout take the first exit. Drive by the N340a road (from Nerja to Malaga by the sea) to the entrance of Tamango Hill Urb., following the main road you get to a sign showing Villa Alabarce to the right, be careful at the entrance of the track. The villa is situated opposite Tamango Hill Urbanisation. Only 100 meters of good track to the main road of Tamango Hill is enough to give you the feeling of independence. Nerja and Torrox-Costa beaches are very close, enjoy different activities like canoeing, scuba, kiteboard, etc There are some routes that combine culture and pleasure. Ruta de la pasa (raisin), del vino (wine), del aceite (oil) del aguacate (advocat), etc where you visit the small white villages and taste their gastronomy (be careful with the wine if you drive). English language plays and movies are scheduled regularly. English is understood in restaurants, bars and many shops.

Coast/Beach: In a range of 10 km east or west you can enjoy the beaches of Nerja and Torrox-Costa. The seaside is 500 meters away from the villa. The beaches east of Maro (Nerja) are inside the Natural Park, access to them walking or with 4WD bus service of the Junta de Andalucia. (Playa del Cañuelo). Many restaurants in the beaches outside the Natural Park. Also water sports facilities and scuba clubs. Burriana Beach is the most popular and crowded beach.

Golf: East you can go to Almuñecar or Motril (15-30 minutes drive). West in Velez-Malaga (Baviera) and Rincon de la Victoria (Añoreta)(20-30 minutes drive).

Skiing: Sierra Nevada is 2 hour drive from Nerja. Ski in the morning and bathe in the sea in the afternoon.

It was a bit large for just the two of us but it sounded like the sort of place we were looking for. We love Nerja and have stayed at a number of places in the area over the years but this one topped the lot. The owners don't speak English but the welcome didn't need translating! Nevertheless Vincente is always at hand for help and advice and he speaks excellent English.
The villa is separate from the nearby development of Tamango Hill and has a country feel to it even though it is walking distance to a quiet beach with its great seafood cafe. We saw them landing fish that had just been caught. We enjoy birdwatching and it was an unexpected bonus to see a large number of birds we don't see in England like Black Kite, Hoopoe, Bee Eaters, etc., all from the terrace.
Evening meals in the covered area outside by the pool meant we rarely made use of the lounge and TV and we didn't leave the villa for the first week except for shopping and to go for short walks up into the hills. If it wasn't for the shopping you wouldn't need a car.
It's a great place with everything you need for a peaceful and relaxing holiday including the lovely pool which is so welcome when it's hot. Exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated throughout, we honestly can't think of a single thing to complain about.

It just occurs to me that reviewing this property might not be such a great idea...
Supposing there are no vacancies when we want to go again?!!!

Who cares - in three weeks we'll be there again!!
