Great accommodation near the sea

This villa was great for our group of 8 (our family of 4, the 2 friends of our teenage sons, and the parents of one of the friends). It has recently been refurbished and was clean and well equipped. Bertha, the agent, met us there and since she lives nearby she was available if we needed anything.
The 4 boys loved the basement where there was plenty of space for them to sleep, watch TV and generally 'hang out'. The room stayed cool because it is mostly below ground, although there are 2 windows at ceiling level so there is some natural light. The boys used the shower room on the ground floor which left the whole of the top floor for the adults.
The main bedroom is spacious and the balcony is a great place to sit and read in the morning or evening. The room is air-conditioned, a good thing during the first 2 weeks in August. (The open plan kitchen/living/dining room on the ground floor is also air-conditioned.) There is a walk-in cupboard for your clothes and also a chest of drawers so plenty of storage space.
The second bedroom is smaller but still a good size with 2 single beds, a wardrobe, a tall chest of drawers and a fan. Every window in the house has shutters and fly screens so you can keep out the midday heat. Being near the sea we had a sea breeze most of the time which was very pleasant.
There are 3 or 4 steps up to the front door and also up to the side terrace (where we ate breakfast and lunch) which might be difficult for people with mobility problems or for very young, mobile children. Inside, the stairs are quite open so again you would need to be careful with toddler age children. There is also 1 step in the ground floor shower room. None of these things were a problem for our group and in many ways they add to the charm of the property. The garden is fully enclosed with an electric gate.
The lovely sandy beach is at the end of the road. The sea slopes gently for quite a distance and the water was usually warm so even my husband went in! The boys spent a lot of time swimming and snorkelling.
There is a supermarket nearby and a good pizzeria/ restaurant above it. Buses run past the end of the road but we found it easier once we hired a car. The only reason I gave this 4/5 is because the villa is in a residential area so you do need to travel if you want to go sightseeing, shopping (other than food) etc. Although there is a disco nearby generally it is a quiet area and that suited us. We enjoyed our stay and would go again.
