Large two-storey house on the beach, large swimming pool (40cm deep children's area, 2 m deep) water temperature 24-36 degrees, depending on the season. Upstairs is a large bedroom with king-size bed, TV, bathroom, separate toilet and a walk-in robe. The second Bedroom comes with three single beds. The 3rd Bedroom features two double beds. All 3 bedrooms have access to a large verandah with views over the beach and ocean. The upper floor has a bathroom with a spa bath and separate toilet. Downstairs is the spacious living room, with TV and DVD player, red leather lounge and a beautiful desk. From the pool you have access to a bathroom and separate toilet. The laundry is equipped with a washing machine, dryer, ironing board and iron. The kitchen features a corner bench, oven, dishwasher, fridge with freezer, glass hotplates. Views from kitchen to garden and onto beach.
Kewarra Beach House has a wonderful amount of bird life, Lorikeets and Cockatoos as well as Kookaburras come to visit every day. The reassuring sound of the waves will relax you and walks on the beautiful beach will tell you that you are truly in paradise.
The city is a 20 minute drive away, where you can visit the famous Cairns Lagoon, the Pier, the Night markets and various other tourist attraction. The house is approx. 15 minutes from the Cairns International airport. The closest shopping centre is a 10 minute drive away to Clifton Beach ShoppingCentre. Surrounding attractions such as the Tablelands, Port Douglas and Daintree are 1 to 1/2 hours drive away. Diving and snorkeling on The Great Barrier Reef and on the islands surrounding Cairns can be organised at the Reef Terminal in Cairns City.
Other tourist attractions include the Kuranda Scenic Railway, Skyrail, Tjapukai aboriginal theatre and much more. Trips into the outback e.g. to Undarra (lava tubes) can be booked. We also have a beautiful botanical garden, the Royal Flying Doctors, zoos where you can pet kangaroos and koalas. Markets are on weekends. Visiting the Tablelands is a must: the many waterfalls, coffee plantations, cheese and wine production places.
Sports facilities in Cairns: Cairns offers the tourists many sporting opportunities to stay fit. Triathlons, bike races, mountain bike race, Crocodile Trophy, Cairns Challenge Iron Man distance, Tour de Tablelands. Bicycle Hire can be organised through Kewarra Beach Holiday Home.
A Barbecue is located a few meters from the beach also a children's playground.
