The nearest beach with its beautiful golden sand is less than 10 minutes walk away through the charming coastal village (Burgau).
The village of Burgau is approximately 10km west from Lagos, and about 1 hour from Faro airport. Burgau has a great choice of bars and restaurants (international cuisine) and is a popular holiday destination for both couples and families, and is ideal for those with young children. There is a good public bus service to Praia da Luz and the surrounding villages, and Lagos.
Also ideal for longer winter stays, with heating throughout, and for those who enjoy walking, this is a fantastic area for walks along the stunning coastline. And for those looking for even more activities there is a good Sports centre close by for Tennis, Squash and lots of other sports.
For golfers, there are several golf courses within a 15-20 minutes drive.
This location is a great place from which to explore the many coastal villages such as Salema and Praia da Luz. Within a 15 minute drive is the dramatic west coastline with its stunning scenery and great surfing beaches.
