Waterfront Villa & apartments 10 mins walk from Korcula old Town

Villa Jade is a stunning stone villa. Within villa Jade there are 5 luxury self contained apts available for rent. The villa is on the waters edge with wonderful sea and mountain views, steps leading down to a small pebbled beach just in front of the villa, inc private boat mooring. The villa consists of the lovely main floor apt which sleeps 4 adults +2 children with lovely sea facing stone terrace. The attic apt which sleeps 4 adults+2 children with lovely new sea facing terrace with amazing views. There are 2 ground floor 1 bed apts sleeping 2 adults+2 kids, ground floor apts 1&2 are inter-connecting, so can be rented seperatley or as one large space for 2 familys if req, there is a lovely sea facing stone terrace. Aditionally we have our lower ground floor apt which sleeps 2 adults+2 kids, again with large sea facing stone terrace. All apts are modern and finished to a very high standard with full A/C. The historic walled city of Korcula town is approx a 15 min scenic walk.

Villa Jade's stunning main residence is a first class 2 bed luxury apartment within our villa Jade. The apt is set within a truly lovely stone villa only 10metre's from the sea & small beach.The apt is a beautifully finished modern space with marble tiled floors throughout. The main living area is a lovely space, beautifully finished with open plan living area & kitchen that are blended into one with large sliding glass doors leading out to a large stone terrace 12m X 2.7m. The master bedroom has amazing views out over the sea and mountains directly infront of the villa with large glass sliding doors again leading out to the stone terrace.The living/dining area has seating for up to 6/8 people. The Apt has a beautiful modern fully fitted kitchen with granite work surfaces, large American fridge freezer, dishwasher. Bath1 is a full bathroom with jacuzzi, shower,toilet, sink & lit mirror. Bath 2 is a wet room with drencher shower, toilet, sink. There is full A/C throughout.
About Steve Fagg

My name is Steve I was born in Bow East London. Went to school in Wickford Essex at Hilltop junior then on to Beauchamps high school. I currently live in Brentwood Essex and have done since 1988. I run my own company Security Shutters Ltd based in Romford Essex.

Why Steve Fagg chose Korcula

I was on holiday in Croatia touring around from Split and on to all the Islands and was looking to invest in an apartment if I saw the right place. When I arrived on Korcula I fell totally in love with the Island, it truly is a beautiful Island.

I went to see a few houses that were advertised and stumbled on this boarded up Villa right on the sea, I managed to fight my way through the overgrown garden and up onto the terrace, that was it I was in love with this house and it's location to the old historic town of Korcula. I will never forget the views from the terrace and can still never get enough of looking out over the sea and mountains opposite.

Amazing views over the sea and mountains, watching all the beautiful boats go by including some amazing cruise and sailing boats.

The location of Villa Jade as being situated in the lovely village of Medvinjak and within comfortable walking distance along the sea to Korcula old town wich has a lovely atmosphere and lots of nice resturants, bars and shops etc to keep you entertained.

Korcula is the greenest and one of the most beautiful and most interesting of Croatia's 1000 or so Adriatic islands and was said to be a favourite Greek holiday spot over 2000 years ago and the birth place of the great traveller Marco Polo. Korcula old town is described as a mini fortress, a walled city enclosed within honey colored stone walls that contained a labyrinth of quaint cobbled streets with many architectural delights, art-galleries, lots of lovely shops, restaurants and bars. All this is just a 10min scenic walk along the coast from villa Jade.

Various day trips are available by boat to the beautiful ancient walled city of Dubrovnik and the lovely islands of Hvar, Mljet and Lastovo. Things to do include: local boat hire (licence required), scuba diving + local scuba school, wind surfing, fishing and bicycle hire.

  • Please note conditions to booking: A deposit of 30% is required at the time of booking, on receipt a written confirmation will be sent out. The balance due to be paid at least 60 days before the holiday. Please also include an additional security deposit of £250.00 for the main floor apartment & £150.00 for all other apartments to cover breakages, missing items etc. On leaving the apartments in good order the deposit will be refunded no later than 7 days from the date of your return home. Payments accepted, Cash, cheque or bank transfer.
  • Where a booking is cancelled before 45 days prior to arrival the cancellation fee is 50% of booking deposit. Where bookings cancelled within 45 days of arrival unfortunately there can be no refunds.
    Final cleaning is payable in advance on arrival to key holder. Main floor & attic apt charged at 160 kuna (approx £20) Ground floor 1,2 & lower ground floor apartments charged at 120 kuna (approx £15)
    Local tourist tax is included within rental price.

  • There are 2 bedrooms within the main floor apartment of villa Jade. The master bedroom is approx 5.5m x 5m with nice modern furniture. Double bed, bedsides with lamps and full lighting controls, triple wardrobe + dressing table. The views from the master bedroom are second to none straight out over the sea to the mountains where you can watch the boats going by while having your tea in bed. There are large glass sliding doors leading out to the stone terrace where you have 2 sunbeds and small drinks table, also dinning table, chairs & umbrella. The views from the terrace are truly amazing looking over the bay and across to the mountains opposite the villa. Bedroom 2 is approx 4m X 4m with double bed, bedsides, double waldrobe with additional case storage, dressing table with lit dressing mirror. Additionally there is a small flat screen t.v & DVD player. The bedroom has low level dimmer lighting.

Villa Jade is situated on a small cliff with absolutely amazing sea and mountain views.Villa Jade also has its own boat mooring located on a beautiful stone dock infront of the house. The Main floor apt has a beautiful stone terrace approx 12m X 2.8m with outside table & chairs for 6 persons, umbrella+2 sun loungers and drinks table. Outside lighting, with additional L.E.D floor lighting for ambiance in the eve's. The views from terrace are truly beautiful looking directly over the garden and out across our bay to the mountains opposite where you can see the most amazing sun rises and boats. Villa Jade is front row to the sea, there is a lovely stone staircase leading down to the small beach and stone dock where you can relax and swim in crystal clear sea's. There is a small local super market within a 5 min walk. The historic walled city of Korcula is approx only a scenic 15 mins walk along the coast. All apt's at villa Jade have access to our laundry room with professional steam iron

The main floor apartment is spacious, well-equipped and modern. the photos and description are accurate. we stayed a week and enjoyed the fabulous balcony with views over the sea both in the early morning and late afternoon/evening. it is a 15 minute walk to Korcula old town along the coastline road or 10 minutes on the bike. i enjoyed being outside the old town as, although it is very charming and full of wonderful architectural heritage, the apartments are so close together and the streets are always packed with people that it could be hard to "get away from it all" if staying in town.

the owners are very good to communicate with and the booking procedure is straightforward.

We stayed in the main floor apartment of Villa Jade and had a lovely relaxing week. It is very comfortable and very well equipped and we loved sitting on the balcony looking out over the bay and watching all kinds of boats sail past. Zeljka is very helpful and keeps the apartments spotless. The walk into Korcula town is only about 20 minutes and the town is beautiful with plenty restaurants. The bay acroos the road from the apartment is great for a quick swim. A great holiday.

We stayed in the main apartment, with two other families occupying the attic and apartments 1 and 2. This worked very well as we could easily get together, but had our own space. We had a great time, and the apartment was lovely; spacious, well equipped and comfortable. The dishwasher and large fridge with ice and water dispenser were very welcomed. A sound system which we could connect ipods to would have been useful, as would a few pointers on how to get to Korcula on foot, reliable taxis, good restaurants, tour companies, how to use the hob etc would have helped, but everything else was good.

I have suggested a tour company to use, and one not to, and a taxi firm (who we changed to for our journey back to the airport because they were so reliable) in the visitors book. The nearby supermarket is quite well stocked and they are very willing to help. I thoroughly recommend the property and the area.

Probably the best snorkelling is from the beach/mooring outside the villa. Hiring a small boat is good fun (but from the right company) and a trip to Mljet is a must. Lumbarda south beach is the best sandy one. We had an early flight so paid our pick up to wait in Dubrovnik for 4 hours on our way to Korcula, which worked out very well, and is more cost-effective than a day trip from the villa.
