The apartment Casa del Borgo for 3 (max. 4) people is located on the southwest side belonging to the castle hamlet, from the windows and terrace of which you can enjoy a stunning view of the landscape.

Historical: For nearly a thousand years, the castle changed from Monte Antico changed through phases of great excess and decline. The proof of its early existence can be found in a document from 988 in which it is mentioned under the name 'Ancaiano“.
The nice Ciesa di San Tommaso Appostolo was once under the jurisdiction of Siennese monks from Montecelso and later the monks of San Lorenzo dell’ Ardenghesca.
The church was handed off from the hands of the Ardengehschi to the Buonsignori, then the Tolomei until it was finally give to a part of the Republic of Sienna in 1348. During this time, the castle appeared to be alternately owned by two noble families. This is also the location where Sienna made their first plans against the Spanish.
