This lovely 4 bedroom, 3.5 bedroom house including casita, has just been redone with influences from India, Thailand and of course, Mexico. The owners have traveled the world to decorate this house with a colonial feel. The house also includes art and folk art by local San Miguel and other Mexican artists.
The house is located in Ojo de Agua, just south of Juarez Park and is a 15 minute, flat walk into town. You get the luxury of being close, but the serenity of being removed from the hustle and bustle of the historical district.
The house has a lovely garden with fountain and an interior light well with a second fountain that fills the entire house with its peaceful sound.
There are 3 bedrooms in the main house with 3 king beds. One of the kings can convert into 2 twins for flexibility. 2 bedrooms share a bathroom. The master suite has a king bed with a daybed. There is a large bathroom and superior closet space. You can catch some sun on the private balcony off of the master suite on one of the chaise lounges set up for you.
The kitchen is well equipped with all new cookware, dishes, flatware and glassware. There is a small breakfast table that seats 4 guests. You can enjoy the garden not only from the dining room, but also from the kitchen. So wherever you are, you feel like you are always part of the action.
There is a large living room that has 2 seating areas. You can take advantage of the TV with DVD player, while relaxing in one of the the ultra suede chairs or you can sit on one of the sofas on the other side of the room and enjoy a fire in the gas fireplace or cocktails before dinner. There are french doors that lead to the patio, where you can enjoy the serenity of the fountain and the garden.
The casita has its own small patio area and fountain plus separate bath. There is one queen bed and a queen size sleeper sofa on the upstairs loft. This is a great option for 2 families, because it adds more space with it's own seating area equipped with fireplace, TV with DVD and CD player.

I am real estate developer, investor, world traveler and travel blogger, photographer. I have a passion for travel, art and photography. In addition I have a passion for interior design and have decorated this property with a sense of place that says that you are in San Miguel.
I fell in love with San Miguel during a photography workshop there in 2001. I later came back for New Years 2003/2004 and then came back and purchased the home later in 2004. San Miguel is a a truly magical place that attracts people who have lived and traveled all over the world.
The house contains many of my personal items that I have collected around the world on my travels. It is centered around a lovely garden and is warm and inviting. You will love the tranquility of this location while being able to be in the heart of the city in a a matter of minutes.
