Wonderful weekend in Bunglasha Lodge

A group of 11 of us stayed in Bunglasha for a weekend. I wish we could have stayed longer. From the start, John was so helpful with directions & met me at the house, gave me a tour & showed me how to work everything. We had a BBQ on the Friday night and then lit a gorgeous fire in the huge fireplace & chilled out in the lovely living room. On Saturday, John gave me the number for us to get a boat tour of the lake - we were picked up at our own jetty at Bunglasha which was fab! & we had a gorgeous meal in The Cherry Tree Restaurant in Ballina. We were all very sad to be leaving Bunglasha on the Sunday. The house has everything you need & is very comfortable. The location of the house is beautiful - so private & with stunning views. The pictures don't capture how fabulous it is!

best break ever in bunglasha house

had a great time with family and friends family, lovey house with loads of space for all. it was my first visit to co.Clare and we took in all the sites on lough Derg and beautiful country side. the house was every thing we expected and finished to the highest standard. every evening we relaxed in the beautiful surroundings and just tied to take in the views from the house.

Amazing house

The photos don't lie - this house is even more amazing in real life than it is in the pictures on the website. Striking when you drive up to it and the grounds are just great for entertaining outside. Right beside the lake and lovely to watch the sunset on the water. Gorgeous in the Summer but the fireplaces etc would make this house so lovely and cosy in the Winter months too. Decorated to the highest standard inside and no expense has been spared on the furniture. Each room is more fab than the last. The master bedroom is like something out of Cribs! Cleaned to the highest standtards too. Stayed there for a hen weekend I was organising and John was so great to deal with and came down to meet us himself to explain how everything in the house worked and make sure we were happy with everything. The sitting room has it's own bar which was a lovely touch. We were so delighted with the house that we stayed in on the first night and got takeaway delivered as we really didn't want to leave our 'home'! On the second night John helped us organise our own private boat to collect us right outside our kitchen and it dropped right outside the door to Flanagans restaurant. Was a great 20 minute journey made all the more fun by our lovely driver James who had no problem with us sipping champagne on the way! Really enjoyed our weekend here and the house was the talk of the weekend with the girls - they couldn't believe how lovely it was. I will definately return again - maybe on a family weekend. Can't think of a single negative thing to say about this house. Exceeded all expectations.
