This cosy home with vaulted ceilings has fantastic views of the lake and surrounding woods whether it's sunny, raining or snowing. You are minutes from Bellingham's many restaurants, night life and family activities. Skiing and snow boarding Mt Baker one hour. Seattle and Vancouver, B.C. 1.5 hours.

There are two queen beds, a second fireplace, wood suplied, propane heat, cable, HDTV, DVD and CD players, stereo, BBQ, kitchen appliances, dishes, etc. washer/dryer, crib/playpen, All linens provided. WIfi and phone service awailable.

This retreat is unique and comfortable, well kept in its amenities and conveniences without being fussy. No Smoking. No Pets.

During the summer months there is a cabin available where children can be adventurous. There is a TV in the cabin with a DVD player. The rental also provides use of a canoe, two kayaks, pedal boat and the property's dock for your relaxation and enjoyment. Swimming and lake fishing are right outside your door.

The $200 deposit is refundable and will be returned after your stay.

About The Owner

I'm passionate in what I'm doing with the Emerald Lake Chalet.

When I read guest comments that they have enjoyed their stay and want to come back,

that's very rewarding.

The Owner purchased this chalet in 1979
Why The Owner chose Bellingham

This property is one of a kind. Swimming and fishing at the door. A great place for children of all ages. There's a cabin for the children to do their own thing, but still close to family.

What makes this chalet unique

My family has owned property on Emerald Lake since 1960. It's been a great retreat for my six children and grandchildren as well as our friends. Bellingham is minutes away where many activities, shopping and gourmet restaurants add to the wonderful lake setting apart from city life.

Beautiful property, wonderful hospitality!

We had a really great time at the chalet. The views of the lake were wonderful. Despite the rain we took the kayaks our onto the lake and had a great time. The cabin is very cozy and well set up. Descriptions and photos were accurate. Property was clean and well maintained. Host was helpful with directions. They even left us banana bread! (which was delicious) We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a nice weekend on the lake.

Excellent accommodation. Comfortable beds and great amenities. Location to Mt Baker made it ideal for skiing. Owner was excellent to deal with and very responsive. Very quiet at night. Would not hesitate to recommend or return. A well run rental.

Clean and cozy

We picked up our WWU freshman and her friend and went to the Emerald Lake Chateau for a Thanksgiving getaway. The weather was cold and rainy, but the house was clean and warm and cozy. We cooked dinner and had a lovely thanksgiving; watched movies and had a little clearing in the weather so we could take out the kayaks. Went into town to see a movie one day, and all in all, had a really nice time. I don't think I've ever rented such a clean house!

We hate to leave...

We had a great time here, enjoying the peace and quiet!

We found the guest book handy and went to the adult go-cart place in Sumas and my teens had a blast! Then we swung around & went up to Mt. Baker!

We hate to leave but will not miss the stairs!

Dear Rosetta,

You have a beautiful home here on Emerald Lake! We were here from the East Coast visiting with famiy & celebrating my mother-in-law's 70th Birthday! Not only was your home a wonderful place to host the family it was also a very relaxing retreat to return to at the end of very hectic busy days! Although we're still not convinced the sun ever shines here (the Family insists it does :) ), we plan to stay here every time we come visiting! The special touches such as the wonderful banana bread were much appreciated!
