Javea :
With it's mild year-round temperatures, varying landscapes - from sandy coastlines to rugged mountain areas - and extensive tourist facilities, Javea has still managed to preserve all the charm of an ancient fishing village, and is truly the jewel in the crown of Spain's coastal communities. Javea medieval sounds echo through the historic town centre that has largely been preserved over the centuries. White house fronts adorned with wrought-iron grilles and Gothic-style windows provide a noble touch to the labyrinth of streets and diminutive plazas.
The bustling Arenal area at Javea encompasses everything one would want with its blue flag sandy beach, calm waters, restaurants and bars and maintains a lively atmosphere all year round. Javea boasts a great selection of facilities including theatre, cinema, art galleries, hiking, horse riding, golf, tennis, bowls, sailing, diving , water skiing, wind surfing and every other watersport imaginable!
Denia:
Dénia is a coastal city located to the north of the province of Alicante and has a 20-kilometre coastline, made of small, beautiful coves. To the north there are the fine sandy beaches of Les Marines and Les Bovetes and the shingle beaches of Les Deveses and L' Almadrava beaches, which are craggy and rocky; to the south is the Les Rotes beach. Though the beaches are long, they are not enormous and generally appeal to family-type tourism.
Denia possesses one of the most important harbors of the area, with ferry connections to Ibiza, Mallorca and others. One of the most visited tourist attractions of Denia is the castillo (castle). The castle built in the 11th and 12th century offers a wonderful view around the sea, the city and the backlands. Within the castle you will find the Palau del Governador with its museum. Along with the other interesting museums in Denia, the Museo Etnologico will give you further details on the rich history and culture of Denia.
