Overview

Antibes House Rental Photos and Description

1 bed. House plus mezzanine, Sleeps 4.

1 bed. House plus mezzanine, Sleeps 4.You will be charmed by the fabulous original features of this traditional village house, its beamed ceilings and stone fireplace, and the light airy interior. It's literally steps to restaurants, street cafes and shops, but is situated in a quiet street. It is a world away from a modern flat in an apartment building, it really is unique and a special place to stay for your holiday. On the first level is the bedroom, reached via the front door from the street level and up one flight of stairs, and the bathroom, both are spacious and airy. The bathroom has bath and shower and plenty of storage, and the bed is a large double. On the next level is the kitchen/living area. There is a well equipped kitchen with bar area, and a lovely sitting area with a feature stone fireplace, sofa, and dining for 6 people. Then there is the mezzanine area, a suitable sleeping area for children. Air-conditioned throughout.

Because of the open-plan stairs it is not suitable for very young children, although there is a stair gate at the living/kitchen level.

There is UK TV with several English news channels, (no French TV channels) DVD player, Internet access & Bose Ipod docker.

A great find in Antibes

  • 5 of 5

This charming little house is in a superb location in the heart of the old town and close to the beach but quiet. Full of character, surprisingly spacious, stylishly furnished, very clean and very well equipped.

We were a party of 3 adults and 2 children (ages 6 and 8) and all loved staying in the house. The service was great from the time we spotted the house on the web site.

Hope to stay there again.

Good location.

  • 3 of 5

Lovely town of Antibes and this apartment is well located - only 15 min walk to train station, 5 minutes to the beach and 2 minutes to grocery and restaurants. Very clean. On arrival, you go up about 10 stairs and are at main bedroom and bath level, another 10 or so steep steps and unlatch a gate, you arrive on the kitchen and living level. Another 9 or so steps, you are in the upper loft. This was our final 10 days out of a 5 week trip to Europe with our two kids, ages 12 and 10 yrs. Found the steep, uneven steps and gate highly dangerous for kids especially. Gate needed to be closed when you were on kitchen level and small step there made it precarious. Our 6th European trip, so very used to accommodations here. Also, apartment is next to the back of a restaurant - very noisy when they are cleaning up each night they are open. Fast wifi was nice.

Lovely flat, bags of charactor and fab location

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay here. It's a quiet street despite being seconds from the main square. Perfectly placed for restaurants and the beach. Lots of nice touches from Sophie Conran crockery to beach mats and chairs. The house is clean and well equipped - it has everything you need to make a lovely stay. Can't wait to come back!

Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

What a great find! The house is in a really central location with all Antibes has to offer virtually on the door step! Everything was exactly as described - clean, tidy, well equipped and so much more! As soon as we walked in it was immediately evident that the owners had put a lot of time and thought into the charming decoration and equipping the house with everything you could possibly need for your stay - whether it was heading to the beach or running for the train in the rain (thank you so much for thinking to put an umbrella in the cupboard!)

Antibes is a great town with lots to see and do and excellent train links to some wonderful places. So nice not to have to hire a car. Much more relaxing when the train takes the strain! Can't wait to go back and will definitely recommend to all our friends.

Beautiful House in the heart of Antibes

  • 5 of 5

We booked to stay here for one night during a trip to the Antibes area - and we were delighted that we did. The house is even more attractive than the pictures here would suggest. It's light, immacualtely clean and full of character. We have 2 children (11 and 10) and they loved sleeping up on the mezzanine level while we found the main bedroom and bathroom equally perfect.

The Street is quiet but leads directly into the middle of the Old Town with all its bars, cafes and restaurants. The harbour and beach are no more than a 5 minute stroll.

We will be booking up again for definite.

Village House Review

  • 5 of 5

My husband, myself and my two kids stayed in this apartment in Old Antibes this past August for one week. It was our first time to the South of France and we were not disappointed. Old Antibes is a great destination. I loved the market, the restaurants, the local beach, the architecture, the narrow, crooked streets and houses. The marina is amazing. I have never so many mega-yachts! It'll knock your socks off. This rental is just as charming as its pictures and the owner obviously gave a lot of thought to everything that you would need to make a perfect vacation. The kitchen was fully stocked, the property was clean and well-maintained. We were all very comfortable. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and have their own space. The beds were comfortable and like the way it was decorated- very beach cottage-ish. My only advice is that you remember that you will have to carry your luggage from wherever you park (not right at the house - but about 3 blocks away at the parking facility) because you cannot bring a car into the narrow streets in this part of town. Not a big deal because this is also part of the charm, but you may wish to have luggage with wheels. There is so much to see and explore that I would recommend this vacation to anyone. Don't forget to try the mussels and french fries! The fruit preserves, pate, olive oil and of course, the bread and cheese at the market are a must. I have never tasted better tomatoes! It was wonderful.

This house is right in the heart of the Old Town of Antibes. Everything you could wish for is within a short walk. The local Antibes beach La Gravette is less than a 5 min. walk away, past street cafe, shops and restaurants, then through the medieval arch of the Ramparts, and past some of the 'smaller' yachts in the famous marina.

The daily Provencal Market is not to be missed, with a fabulous array of fresh produce on offer, early evening the site turns into a market of local artists which is equally lovely to browse through. A few steps from here is the Picasso Museum, which contain works that he produced while living there. The train station, a 10 minute walk, will take you easily anywhere along the coast, it's a lovely view in either direction, though especially towards Monaco, which should not be missed.
