One to four bedroom estate holiday cottages located on beautiful, unspoilt 20,000 acre Dunalastair highland Estate by Kinloch Rannoch, Perthshire. With views of hills, loch and forest. Set apart with privacy amongst wildlife and quietness. Great for walking, cycling, wildlife watching, fishing, tennis, and touring a wide area. Near to Pitlochry and Aberfeldy and Blair Castle. Golf, riding, gardens, theatre within easy reach.

Dunalastair Estate is situated at the very centre of mainland Scotland so is ideal as a base for touring a wide area. The cottages are traditional stone estate cottages carefully converted to form comfortable rural retreats for restful self-catering holidays with family or friends. They vary in size from a romantic remote cottage for two, ideal for honeymoons with four poster bed, to a tower house sleeping 8 people which is situated by the River Tummel and close to dramatic falls where the water rushes through a rocky gorge into a pool below. There are also several cottages of two or three bedrooms with magnificent views over the glen. The cottages are fully furnished and linen and towels are provided. Heating and electricity included in the rent. Pets are welcome for a small charge. Pitlochry and Aberfeldy are 30 minutes away by car and the area is renowned for active sports such as horse riding, white water rafting, canoeing, cycling, hill walking and much else besides.

An unique stone tower house full of character by the river with four bedrooms, bathroom, shower room, sitting room, kitchen/dining room. Flat screen TV, DVD player, hifi, sofas and chairs, in sitting room, garden furniture, fishing on the doorstep, private location. The Kitchen is very well equipped with electric cooker, fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher etc. Plenty of private parking. You can walk along the river and in the pine and birch woods from the house or stray further afield towards the hills. You can even make a campfire by the river. Children love it here.

Note:

There is a double bedroom with king-size four-poster bed with adjoining bathroom with bath, basin and toilet.

The second bedroom has twin beds and an en suite shower room with shower, basin and toilet.

The kitchen is well equipped with cooker, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and microwave etc.

There is a separate utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer and WC.

There is a good local store in Kinloch Rannoch and medium-size supermarkets plus delis, butchers and banks in Pitlochry and Aberfeldy. There are a lot of activities in the area such as Highland Safaris, Horse riding, White Water Rafting, Bunjee Jumping, Cycling and many more. For those who like more leisurely pursuits, the gardens of Perthshire are superb - many private gardens are open under the Yellow Book scheme. Pitlochry Festival Theatre produces excellent high quality productions and there are many good restaurants to choose from around Highland Perthshire.
