Villa Bella Callao Salvaje

Very nice villa and well furnished inside and out. We mainly picked this villa because of the private heated pool. This was a bit of a let down as the pool is in shade for a large part of the day and although we had agreed with the hirer to have the pool heated the agent in Tenerife took 3 days to get the pool heating working. Also there was a small amount of work next door which in itself wasn't a problem but some dust did come over the wall and into the pool, again the agent was not interested in sorting this out, we were left to our own devices on this. Overall nice villa, contact with the owner was great up until we made our final payment then it was like pulling back teeth trying to get an answer to an email or phone call, all was left to the agent and as mentioned before he was less than interested in being helpful. I don't imagine I'd hire this villa again, mainly due to the communication from the owner and the agent, this in no way reflects the condition of the villa which was superb or does it reflect badly on this web site which in fairness has now given me an opportunity to vent my problems and let others know what to expect. We have rented villas in Tenerife many times before and expect a little more effort from the people on the ground that are in charge of the villas.

I will address the points mentioned in the order that they have been raised.
The swimming pool , whilst shaded in the early morning does get plenty of the sun for the majority of the day. It is a secluded pool which is not overlooked which may be the reason for partial shade at some time during the day.
It is unfortunate, unacceptable and highly unusual that it took three days to get the pool heater turned on but with as with all electrical components we can sometimes be at the mercy of others when a breakdown occurs. Our agent and "pool man" have both been reprimanded for this and I am confident that this will not happen again.
It is also unfortunate that there was dust from building work blown over the wall and into the pool. This does happen occassinally if there are works going on and I can only apologise for this.
I will also add that as the owner I have always made every effort to respond immediately to any emails from my clients and can only assume that there may have been a few days when I was either away on holiday myself or suffering the internet problems that we all experience from time to time.
It was good to see that the holiday maker concerned was pleased to report the otherwise excellent condition of the villa and I can only hope that if he decides to return to tenerife, he will consider staying with us again and give us the opportunity to ensure that he has a happier experience.
