NEWLY RENOVATED APARTMENT FOR 2 - 4 PERSONS WITH GARDEN, PLAYGROUND AND MOUNTAIN VIEWS

Since moving here to Germany, this was our first booking of a privately owned rental so we really weren't sure what to expect. My husband was attending the NATO school here so I packed up our boxer dog and decided to tag along. A note to any spouses with husbands doing this school: Come! Bring your kids and/or your dog! Oberammergau is a perfect little town for families!

Petra was extremely kind, helpful, and easy to work with. She answered promptly and really made sure our stay was perfect. She speaks very good English!

There are only a few apartments in this building and it is really more like a house! The apartment was huge!! It is charming, beautifully decorated, and has everything you need! Our unit was ground floor which was perfect since we had our pup with us and that offered immediate access to the backyard. She enjoys being outside. Petra does ask that you walk your dog for potty time which is understandable since the yard is set up perfectly for children; fenced in with a little playground! There is a perfect walk for your dog outside the apartment, down a little bike path, along a pretty stream, to an open field. There are "poop trash cans" along this path.

The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook for the week. We took advantage of this and went down to the Lidle for breakfast groceries, drinks, snacks, and a frozen pizza for the night we stayed in. We do not have children so we did not use the second bedroom but it's really cute with bunk beds and a built in closet. The living room is huge with a large L-shaped couch and coffee table. The bed was a typical German mattress so a little firmer than we prefer, but no worries, we knew that before and brought our own blankets and pillows. Our apartment had a full bath with tub and separate shower. There is a second 1/4 bath at the entrance way. The unit was perfectly clean and even had things like coffee filters, paper towels, and soap.

I cannot say enough nice things about this apartment. We had the best time here in Oberammergau. Everything is within easy walking distance. (NATO school is a 20 minute walk but I dropped him off every day so we could spend that time having breakfast) The people are friendly, the food is fantastic, and the village is just absolutely beautiful.
