The discreet entrance belies the presence of a rare luxury in the old town; a private garden, ideal for al fresco dining, reading, or just relaxing. Large doors lead into the living/dining area, a cleverly converted cellar, and a compact kitchen area. The dining table & chairs seat 6 with comfort, the sofa and armchairs are large and comfortable. The staircase spirals up to the first floor bedrooms & bathroom. The feeling of space enhanced by high ceilings, supported by original wooden beams. This home is from the turn of the previous century; the owners have complemented its natural character with a 'Simplicity is elegance' philosophy.Modern comforts include: Ultra modern air conditioning, wi fi broadband, and Sky TV on a 50' plasma. Ideally situated between Nice and Cannes, Antibes has the largest private marina in Europe and is home to the most luxurious yachts of the world. The old town which dates back to the fifth century BC is a labyrinth of charming streets filled with shops, street cafes, restaurants, galleries, museums and churches within the town’s historic ramparts. With local weekly markets and countless artisans’ workshops situated in and around the town, Antibes offers shoppers a variety of unique goods. Renoir’s home and the Picasso Museum, which contains the artist’s locally inspired works, are testimony to the rich cultural history and beauty of Antibes.   • A deposit of 50% is required at the time of booking, with the balance to be paid 6 weeks prior to arrival. Payment to be made by bank transfer in euros, note that this could incur a charge, to be met by sender, or by French cheque. There is a 60 euro cleaning/laundry fee payable in cash on departure .Towels and linens are provided including. On arrival you will be met at the apartment, and given a set of keys. The security and key deposit of 300 euros (or equivalent in pounds) will be collected in cash at this time, to be returned on departure less the 60 euros for cleaning.
    Please note that check ins after 9pm. can not be facilitated.

Hidden gem

Hidden down a small side street in old Antibes is this deceptively spacious apartment. As you enter through the small courtyard garden, you greeted by a very trendy lounge in a converted cellar with an interesting curved ceiling. Comfortable, chairs and sofa and a great big dining table adorn this well furnished room. There's also a huge TV with Sky which certainly kept the children happy. There's a small kitchen area which is a little cramped, but adequate for simple meals.

Up the spiral stairs you will find two very comfortable double bedrooms and a family bathroom.

It's in a very good spot in Antibes, yards from the old town with all it's delights (you must visit the daily food market!)

Well recommended.

The property was more than i expected and was well maintained and very very clean with a very pretty garden area, Excellent location for all shops, restaurants and the beach. Josey Harrison was very heplful and always available. I would certainle recommend this lovely property and would go back.
