The apartment is located in the Choriner Höfe, a new construction project in the urban district Mitte. The Berliner Hof is redefined here with the latest architectural and urban concepts. The apartment is located on the ground floor, has a terrace and a small garden. The living room turns into a spacious veranda with soil depths windows and a glass door. In addition to the double bed you can win in a few steps two more sleeping options on the sofa. The Finnish and Danish design furniture persuade by its colorful and clear structure. The light and color concept was designed and created by our interior designer. The Miele kitchen impresses with its design and functionality.
Underfloor heating, oak parquet flooring, bathroom with bath tub and high quality tiles and fixtures are self-evident.
My family and I live in Potsdam and Berlin. I am a music pedagogue and besides my teaching at the University of Potsdam I built up the biggest music school in northern Germany: www.bertheau-morgenstern.de
Andreas Bertheau purchased this apartment in 2012
The district around the Rosenthaler Platz has become one of the most popular and hippest in Berlin-Mitte. The Choriner Höfe are a part of it - just in front there is the tumultuous big city life and within you find calm.
We travelled here from California to visit our son for Christmas. He's studying at Humboldt University. He recommended the Mitte area. Great recommendation. This place is a gem! Super clean and very comfortable. Lovely neighborhood. Very close to restaurants, shopping & public transportation. The kitchen is great... We're actually cooking a full Christmas dinner here! Such a nice way to spend Christmas away from home! Highly recommend staying here.
The apartment has pretty much everything you’d need. Everything was clean and well-maintained. I reccomend this properties.
We are an older couple who had spent a week in this very well appointed one bedroom apartment and highly recommend it to anyone. The apartment is well located on the ground floor, within walking distance to cafés, convenient stores, and public transportation. It is also fairly centrally situated to city sights and attractions. We were given very good assistance and advice by the owner which made our stay very pleasurable. It is as good as a 5-Star accommodation for just about any visitor.
The apartment was great. It was in a central location, very close to the U-bahn stations - Only one stop away from Alexanderplatz. Even thought, it is located in a nice and quiet neighborhood.
It is equipped with everything you need for a nice stay - especially in the amazing kitchen.
There is also a supermarket just nearby.
The owner of the apartment is very nice and patient, and can help you with everything you need.
We really enjoyed our stay here.
This is the second stay for us at the "Designer Apartment" so we must like it! At HI Travel Tales, we travel a lot and love slightly off-the-beaten path places to write up in our stories. This apartment has refined furnishings and everything you need. Best of all, the location is A1 for visiting and getting around Berlin -- particularly the cool, trendy Mitte and Prenzlauer Berg areas. It sits smack in the middle of a great, hopping restaurant and coffee house scene, only steps from Berlin history. But what we like so much -- as we wrote up after a week's stay there in July 2013 on our website -- is how it feels like an oasis in the bustling city. An inner courtyard is a green space and feels neighborly, offering QUIET for great sleep. The terrace offers a divine location for an evening happy hour -- with a visit by one of the neighborhood tots possible. Andreas is a great host too. We'll be back!
My husband and I had an amazing time staying at this apartment for our first trip to Berlin.
The apartment is pretty much centrally located, and we walked most museums and sightseeing spots when the weather was good.
Especially, we enjoyed being near Augustrasse and Mulakstrasse, where many cool art galleries and boutiques are found. The supermarket nearby was open until the midnight and a local bakery offers fresh breads every morning.
The apartment has pretty much everything you’d need. The floor heating kept the room nicely warm, the shower was clean, and kitchen amenities were excellent. The sound-proof of the building was very good so we hardly heard any noise from our neighbors. Shutter blinds ensured a good night sleep and privacy.
Only thing it didn’t come with was a microwave, but we really didn’t need to have it.
This apartment stay was a great deal. We’d definitely go back to stay at the apartment next time we visit Berlin.
You are able to live in the heart of Berlin, only 10 minutes walking distance from the high culture monuments, such as the Museum island, cathedral, theaters while enjoying the trendy district and luxury accommodation. The Alexanderplatz square is just a stone's throw away. In a few minutes you are at the Kollwitz Platz with its nice shops, many restaurants and pubs. The cultural highlights of the city from here are in easy reach. In addition to two subway lines you have the possibility to go by tram. Many shops and restaurants are nearby. The famous Acker Hall, with a large grocery store is just a three minute walk away.
