The Baix Empordà is an ideal place for hiking and cycling with an extensive network of rural paths far from the main roads. Over recent years, considerable investment has been made in signposting and refurbishing the trails. The hiking and cycling network means that you can explore the Baix Empordà far from the noise and bustle of the main roads and discover everything from a Romanesque church nestled among hills clothed in cork oaks to a hidden cove with soft, golden sand and a sea so blue it blends with the sky.
Golf:
The Costa Brava, now one of Spain’s leading golfing destinations, hosts nine golf courses, some of which are recognised among the best in Europe. Within a 20-minute drive of the villa you will find four of these golf courses – Golf Platja de Pals overlooking the Mediterranean, where a number of top class competitions have been held; Golf Gualta situated in a beautiful parkland setting which caters for both novices and seasoned pros and Emporda Golf Course which comprises two separate 18-hole courses.
Our villa is located in the exclusive AiguaBlava Bay, just a stroll from the stunning Platja Fonda beach and the tiny port of Fornells.
Just a fiew minutes drive away (or an easy coasted walk) is the fabulous golden sand of AiguaBlava beach, not only great swimming but friendly beach-side café/restaurants.
For shopping and nightlife is nearby Begur with its smart boutiques and tapas bars.
Also Palafrugell , famed for its colourful market, where you can buy ulta fresh mediterranean produce to cook on the poolside barbecue or in the modern well-equipped kitchen.
