Olympia Skigebiet Kvitfjell
Directly behind the Rondane begins Norway's oldest national park. The mountains fascinate for its size, hochalpinne moorlands, gentle slopes but also by 10 peaks over 2000 meters altitude. Here lives a past of Europe's wild reindeer herds. An hour north, along the National Tourist Route is Dovre National Park, famous for its musk ox safari. Rondane is a paradise for fly fishing, ice fishing and other freshwater fishermen. Cyclist, mountain bikers, canoeists, hikers have unprecedented opportunities in the summer. The winter with its long cold nights and clear, and the powdery snow is the cross-country skiing, ski touring and snowshoe hikers will never forget. But the evening whizzing down the slide to the front or the cozy huts round with the skates on the frozen lakes is one of them. Geological, botanical and zoological interested in Rondane find a unique diversity in Europe.
