Lounge & Dining room:
When you walk in through the front door on to the marbled cream floors into the hallway there are coat hooks to your left and the kitchen entrance door to your right walk straight ahead into the high ceilinged large spacious lounge dining room which leads onto the terrace. To your right is the glassed topped dining table which can seat comfortably six people and when needed will extend to seat eight to ten . We also have enough crockery, cutlery and glasses for 12 place settings, enough to let the dishwasher get full. There is a hatch opening from the kitchen to make eating at the dining room table easy. Just past the dining room table is the L shaped sofa bed and a coffee table.
TELEVISION SKY DVD CD RADIO AND I POD/ MP3 SPEAKER
Opposite the sofa we have a 28' TV Sky box with all the freeview channels so you can pick up all the news sports & BBC & ITV channels . . We have a combined DVD / CD & RADIO & it is all connected to five speakers. A film DVD collection is also provided.
TERRACE AND THE COMMUNIAL AREAS:
The large terrace gives the apartment a greater sense of space furnished with. a trendy round glass & silver metal table with six matching chairs & two sun loungers. The terrace is partly covered by the balcony above but gets plenty of sun all day long. Situated opposite the tropical gardens. The small access road in front makes it ideal for easy access with luggage, shopping & ideal with small children being walled with a lockable gate giving access to all the communal areas but making it very safe for small children to play in the open. To the left of the terrace is the small toddler play area & communal BBQ area you also can see the sea from this spot. Opposite the apartments are the gardens and ponds of cascading water which leads to the first of two hotel size swimming pool for adults & the children's pool. Sun beds are provided, the other swimming pool is on the inner side of the apartment building. Followed by the security guards hut, main entrance & paddle tennis court.
DISTANCE TO AND FROM THE PORT OF DUQUESA:
My apartment is above the port of Duquesa opposite the privately owned villas and Duquesa Golf Club fairways. You go under the underpass from the port and up the steep bit of road then you come to the villas on your left then the Spanish style court yard where Beccy's cafe / restaurant is on your right and then you see Duquesa Suites Golf and Gardens on your right and the entrance is about twenty five meters further up the road on your right hand side. We are on the ground floor with our car parking space opposite the large walled in terrace we are the terracotta white and blue complex. If you are elderly or have baby, toddler and using a stroller/pram/buggy then you will need to take your car up and down to the port and beach as there is a bit of the walk with a steep incline, the walk takes about seven minutes from the apartment to the port and a further three minutes to the beach front. Duquesa Suites is an ideal family complex.
Golf:
La Duquesa Golf and Country Club right next to the complex boasts an 18 holes course designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., a technical masterpiece with wonderful sea and mountain views. In addition to golf, the club offers many facilities including tennis, squash, and a fully equipped gym with a qualified resident trainer. Membership is available. The whole golf complex has recently been upgraded to a very high standard.
